The Bride: Mystical and unfettered, Nicoletta had no terror of ancient curses and no fear of marriage...until she looked into the dark mesmerizing eyes of Don Scarletti. She had sworn no man would command her, had thought her gift of healing set her apart, but his was the right to choose a bride from among his people. And he had chosen her.
The Bargain: Compelled by duty, drawn by desire, she gave her body into his keeping, and prayed the powerful, tormented don would be her heart's destiny, and not her soul's demise.

"First TIme!"
This is the first book I really, really, really enjoyed by Christine Feehan, Yes she is still repetitious with, "she was so beautiful and He was so handsome" but other than that, I enjoyed to story and trying to figure out who was the trader.
"Good book- iffy Narrator"
I really enjoy Feehan's books. This one was no exception. However, I generally don't like female narrators- to the point I can't get all the way through the book. They just can't do men's voices very well and end up just annoying me. This narrator wasn't as bad as a lot that I've heard. But her male voices weren't good and she made the children sound whiney. That being said, I was able to at least listen to the entire book. The book was good- the narrator just passable.
"ENJOYABLE"
I enjoyed this book, it has a diversity of subjects that brings unknown ways and beliefs to light. Fictional yes, but also, that elusive, i wonder! Kept me guessing and undecided on the villain, very rare for me not to work it out, got it but wasn't 100% sure. The narration by Rebecca Cook was good for me, if you enjoy the concept of audible and enjoy listening and can allow yourself to be in the story, any narrator can be overlooked, great, good or bad. It would be great if narrators could be both male and female reading these books together, not just one.
O Day of days when we can read! The reader and the book, either without the other is naught. Ralph Waldo Emerson. I Love to read, a great time for me is curling up with a great book!!!
"Boring"
Something interesting to listen to for starters, very boring
Put something in the first few chapters to make me want to hear more!
not sure
can't even go there, too many
I purchasedthis book because I have love Christine's other books so much but this one sucks.
"Not as good as I remembered"
The narrator, unfortunately, does not do a proper Italian accent!
The storyline seems to jump around quite a bit, with all the action seemingly taking place within just a few days. Makes a romance more unbelievable, and the dialogue is over-the-top simplistic.
I was disappointed overall. I remembered reading the book, and being a bit more impressed, but the audiobook is not as engaging.
I have an addiction to Audio books. What I can't get at the library, I come to Audible and they are always having a sale. I have way more audiobooks than I could possible listen to in over 3 years, but I can't help but adding to my collection and I read a little of everything but mostly romance and paranormal goodies.
"Scarletti Dynasty."
If the story is good enough, I can usually ignore a narrator. This story was okay, but I had a hard time with the narrator because her words would run together with no inflection and at first I had a hard time following. This story had a Spanish gothic kind of feel to it, and it seemed like everybody was the bad guy, so it keep me guessing at the end who the villain was. I enjoyed the Ghostwalker and Drake Sister series by Christine Feehan, some better than others.
