They have witnessed what is beyond the bounds of possibility. Lights sailing across Nevada's desert night sky in fluid and rapid motions that are impossible for even the most technologically advanced aircraft. They have encountered those responsible for the unexplained. Men in black suits, white lab coats, and military uniforms who do not want their secrets exposed.

Brought together by fate - or phenomena - heiress Jennifer Quinn, journalist Timika Mars, pilot Alan Young, and ex-Marine Barry Regis are bonded by the incidents they've witnessed, hunted by agents of a wealthy corporate cabal desperate for unimaginable power, and possessed of extraordinary abilities they do not understand, much less control.

Now, they're on a mission of their own. As Alan and Barry test the limits of their strange gifts inside the military complex known as Dreamland, Jennifer and Timika begin a quest to locate an ancient tablet that may hold the answers to humanity's greatest question.

Are we alone in the universe?

Based on the accounts of credible UAP observers drawn from expert sources within the scientific, military and intelligence communities, Sekret Machines: A Fire Within is the second fiction book within a multimedia project that has become part of the most ambitious investigation of the phenomenon in history.

Great story. Picked up wonderfully from where 1st book left off. Horrible ending. Absolutely disappointing way to end a great story spanning 2 books.

Different ending please

I'm so appreciative that somebody that is diligent and has made the right connections is attempting to release this kind of information to the world and I'll take it in whatever form I can get it.

I freaking love this stuff

This book picks up where Chasing Shadows left off, and Introduces a few new characters! A fun way to get some concepts about our origins and military technology to the public.

Simple review. I really enjoyed this book. Better than I expected. Some of the other reviews made me cautious, but the hours listening to it went by fast.

Like a Dan Brown novel!

I don’t know why it took me this long to stumble across a book that combines all of the UFO lore, abduction, recounts, ancient aliens, breakaway civilizations, into a “fictional” narrative that puts forth a story that hits close to home. Tom Delong, you did that. Cannot wait for book 3. And where’s the movie?

Where’s book III? Ufology taken to new heights!

One of the best narrators I've ever heard! Paul Costanzo is a phenomenal narrator, and the story is quite interesting as well, especially it having been based on actual events.

ADDICTIVE!!!

there was a lot of background clicking in the recording, almost like the narrator's dentures were loose.... and get used to the phrase "what the hell!?!" it happens nearly every paragraph.... and more people should have died

background noise

I enjoyed the story from the continuation of secret machines but the narrator detracts from the experience. His “s” sounds whistle and spike my headphones/speakers making it not only annoying but painful at times. More than that I do not particularly care for his inflections that he puts in to the characters.

Good story, subpar narrator

Trippier than SM book 1, which had me a little nervous at first that they jumped the shark, but I ended up liking this one even more than book 1. Fascinating tie-ins to folklore both ancient and modern.

Mind bending, (third-) eye opening

A masterful piece of vision and creativity. The thought and research that went into this title cover a varied number of fields and sciences. There are so many levels to the story that is told by these authors and the characters they've created, that it is amazing that the story flowed so smoothly.
This title offered so much, by way of entertainment and food for thought that I did not want it to end.

Thoroughly Fantastic
