Such a romantic and sweet story. It was a bit hard to follow at some times because the narrator speaking during each chapter would narrate both the male and female roles. It almost seemed as if the speaking character was mocking the other. I think I would have preferred if each character was spoken by their respectful narrator. Overall a lovely listen, great for poolside or beachside.

Loved this audible! Kydd is an outstanding narrator, as is Dauer. Not sure why reviewers always give these two such a hard time. They literally make each character their own and help enhance the dialogue and storyline. Haters gonna hate, though. What can you do?! If you do enjoy strong narration, give this book a listen. It's funny, sweet, and a little sexy. Okay, it's a lot of sexy at times, but not in a weird, uncomfortable way. It's done well. The writing is solid.

I really enjoyed this book, at first I was a little annoyed with the heroine but she definitely grew on me. but Cohen… I fell for him!! never under estimate the power of an underestimated person. The narration was perfect. I love Alex! I am so glad to hear him more!!

I liked the story. not intense but relatable. FMC had her issues but they made sense with the story. wasn't a fan of the MMCs voice, sounded like a Californian surfer dude sometimes.

Book is good and has a great story line but the female lead is not only super annoying, she’s rude and it just about ruins the book. I think it would be better if this female lost her “negative Nancy” attitude.

Ok, she doesn’t deserve him! He was so not immature, she was. She never gave him a chance and he was nothing but sweet and responsible. She was a total snob and lucky he gave her all those chances.

I hated the heroine. She was judgemental and just a pain in the rump. The hero was great. The story was just okay. No emotional pull. Just a surface level read.

Not Great

I liked this book because it was unexpected. Of course it took a usual course, but in an unusual way. The guy was kind of a loser, didn’t have the alpha male thing going on, smoked too much pot, had a run down apartment… no car, no career. But he had a heart and cared. He was funny and loyal and made himself present. It was a good book to listen to.

This was thoroughly enjoyable. Piper is a very solid writer, loved the story, very relatable and the spice was 1000000/10. I mean, I had to stop what I was doing at one point. Very much recommended.

Some of the other reviewers got annoyed with the whiny FMC but really, the story was well written to demonstrate a more real life scenario vs those that portray money, beauty, happiness, etc. I would add a trigger warning for those who are easily impacted by emotional situations like being taken advantage of, not feeling good enough, or situations where the character clearly has depression and anxiety
