Publisher's summary

The god of light has met his match. But whose life will the red serpent claim?

Killing the queen of New York City has added a million new responsibilities to Shara Isador's list. The former queen's Blood must be dealt with before they turn thrall. The queens Keisha Skye coerced into sibling relationships must either be formally sworn to House Isador or freed. Though Shara can't in good conscience allow anyone into her house who took part in the rampant torture in which House Skye indulged.

While every single day, Shara feels the weight of the red serpent coiled around her throat. The goddess' gift grows heavier with every passing moment. If she doesn't act, the serpent will consume everything she loves. But if she goes after Ra as promised, someone she loves very much will die.

Any of her Blood will gladly pay that cost, but Shara loves them too much to even consider losing one of them.

Who will survive the epic showdown with Ra, the god of light, and will this be the end of Shara Isador's story?

Amazing!!!

I really like this series and the world building as well as the characters. I could do with a little less sex but overall it’s an amazing series. Highly recommend

Holy moly, these just keep getting better & better

I absolutely adore this series by Joely Sue Burkhart and am devouring the little novellas and stories, waiting for the next one to come on audio. I just think Tristan and Cassandra do the story so much justice that if I don't listen to it first, before reading, then I am doing myself a disservice. I love their chemistry and their way of doing the different voices. I thought this one had a lot less errors than in previous ones so definitely had to give it 5 stars across the board. Everything they did was amazing, I wanted to listen to more, tried to pace myself and failed, and then didn't want it to end when I knew the minutes were slipping away and nearing the conclusion haha.

The storyline had some really tough scenes to stomach and what everyone had to do to take down Ra was INSANE but fantastic at the same time. I was glad I waited to listen to the big scene at the end when I was driving home from work since I totally cried when I thought one of my favorites was lost forever and then when the time came for fate to select one of Shara's lovers to die. I loved all the breadcrumbs the author left us and wont go into any details because I don't want to ruin anything, but she set up the next book perfectly! I loved some of the newer characters, especially those who get their own stories/novellas later on. I can't praise the series enough and know it will be one of my favorite series and especially audiobooks to listen to of all times. Get these books, you wont be disappointed. Totally worth the price ❤️❤️❤️

Story: I'm absolutely loving this story and the world building. This is definitely one of my favorite reverse harem series.

I love getting to see the perspectives of the guys. Shara is gaining more and more power, knowledge but she isn’t losing who she is or her integrity. I didn’t mind that there wasn’t a sex scene until about 25 to 30% into the story. I love the storyline so much and all the planning that goes into taking over someone else’s territory. It confused me when the attack happened because I thought they were at Shara’s Mom’s house but then they were at the tower. And I didn’t realize everything on Shara’s end was happening in her head.

I felt like the end was abrupt as well as anticlimactic. I wish they could have gone back to her nest and everything. She’d made a big accomplishment and I feel like they could have gone home, celebrated, and talked about how the next thing is The Triune.

Narration: Tristan James, Cassandra Myles. They're pretty good... I think I would have enjoyed these two narrators more so as a duet. Still good though.

I ABSOLUTELY 💛💗💚💜💙THIS SERIES MORE PLEASE:)!

More record more. I absolutely hate waiting for the next book to come out especially if its been too long you can't exactly remember the details from the last book in the series but the author is FANTASTIC and the narrators are outstanding. I remember when i seen this series book one when it was orginally first recorded and released on audible and I initially was not sure about it because of the sexual aspect of the story from what I gathered from the summary but I love vampire adventure, romance, suspense, fantasy series so I decided to give it a shot and I just was shocked at how much i enjoyed it . There are times where it might seem like to much sexual orientation but the way the author does it really works SURPRISINGLY and I'm not big on sexual series so this series has been quite different from my usual series but super enjoyable and so easy to enjoy:)!
Please keep writing and recording Ms. Burkhart!💜💝💫😁😍🤗

It’s all the same…I wouldn’t waste a credit on this series or time past book 2.

Lack of originality and excessive filler. Truly, what is wrong with the accents and the male narrator doing a bad imitation of Donald Trump’s annoying idiolect? One would never know where the characters are supposed to be from aside from the vaguely British Isles dialects…that are a whole mess of their own. If one doesn’t know anyone from a certain region, look up examples from that region. Also, people native to Kansas City don’t have a northern midwestern dialect. One character was given a bad rural northern Minnesota dialect…but they are all the way down in KC.

My theatre professors who taught acting and directing wouldn’t have given any of us a pass on such poor research, and that was before videos could be posted to the internet. The internet was a dos prompt and one needed to know how to access a specific server (like isca which was a computer bank at Iowa State used by students all over the Midwest to talk computers and internet to get new server addresses). The student was the search “engine”. There is no excuse for any narrator who is narrating English novels to severely botch basic British Commonwealth dialects or American dialects…I would extend that to northern Mexico, as the exposure itself is likely.

Both the author (who said all she needed to say in the first two books, don’t waste time or money after book 2 or 3…but only if three is free) and the narrators need to log onto their favorite search engine and research for the job they are doing.

Love these books!!

I love this series and the female narrator. But the male narrator is weird. I’m not a fan of the way he does female voices at all. Plus his male voices are odd and inconsistent.

I love this series because it has a strong, caring, and bad ass female character with a great story to go with it

The narrator's are great as well. ❤
