Publisher's summary

Bekah:

He was just a hookup. I wasn't supposed to see him again. He wasn't supposed to be my boss. Or Dad's new business partner. We weren't supposed to keep doing this, night after sheet-clenching, heart-pounding, lip-biting night.

Look, I'm not stupid. Grant Shaw doesn't settle his gorgeous, cocky, billionaire self down with anyone. Especially not with me, the intern who could cost him everything. But I haven't told him the big secret yet - or should I say, the little one?

Grant:

Until her, I never broke my cardinal rule: one and done. I was the man who left them aching for more. I was Wall Street incarnate, too busy to wife up any woman. I was in control. Now? I've met obsession, and her name is Bekah.

Obviously, she's wrong for me. Don't make me list all 100 reasons why. Obviously, I don't give a damn. I need more. I can't let her turn to ice when we used to be fire. I'll have my way like always. Even if the price is torching every single rule in my book that says she's off-limits....

Contains mature themes.

Grant & Bekka

Enjoyed audiobook #3 more than #1 & #2 because its pace seemed faster, more of a mystery, lies, attraction/lust/love and a HEA. MMC was an alpha manwhore, light BDSM and a walking STD. No cheating or angst. A big turnoff was the word “Sir.” There is a strong bond between brothers. FMC comes off as being intelligent but I felt she was naive and not as smart. She needed proof of cheating which was good but she only heard one side.
Didn’t like that everything was wrapped up so quickly, editing was needed and it could have had more substance.
Male narrator did a fantastic job.

Frustrating but good

I couldn’t stand how weak Bekkah was and didn’t confront Grant. Otherwise it was good and enjoyed the action.

Grant & Bekka

The power house manwhore broker and Young woman wanting to shed her V-card meet in a little bar that he frequents for hookups when he needs to get away in a small town in Maine to recharge ends up falling for even after they part ways only end up seeing each other again when she shows up as the daughter of the man he is I the process of merging their company's. He can't stop wanting her, but they find out her Dad and a business partner are not what they claim, and the partner is obsessed with Becka. Grant and Bekka enjoy each other only to be torn apart by lies and betrayal. Only until Grant can find dirt and evidence against her Dad will have a chance to fix the wrongs and finally claim her forever. Once again the narrators do an awesome job of bringing their story to life.

More than a hook up

Not what I expected. I didn’t think the h was going to be so easy to get with the H. It got boring bc the h was too easy. There’s no tension or boundaries. She was easy and gave her body easily. All they talked about was sex and having sex. Good thing it was part of Plus

Slow pace when they love and fast pace when the redemption

Having delved into the second and third installments of the "Baby Fever" series through audiobooks, I find myself reluctant to explore the first book and undecided about revisiting this author. Here's a breakdown of my thoughts:

**Pros:**
- Appreciated the lighthearted rom-com tone.
- Liked the resilient heroine who resisted yielding to Nathan.
- Satisfied to see the antagonists face their deserved karma.
- Enjoyed the thematic connection with the title, as they eventually embraced the "baby fever."

**Cons:**
- Found the series to lack realism.
- Disliked the father's insistence on pushing Nathan towards the heroine despite his previous actions.
- Felt a repetitive pattern in both books 2 and 3 regarding the revelation of pregnancies due to complications and manipulation by others, echoing a similar storyline from the first book.
- Wished for more suspenseful romance instead of frequent timeline jumps, making it challenging to engage with the story.
- Noted sudden setting changes without clear indications, causing confusion during transitions between monologue and dialogue.

**Mixed Feelings:**
- Appreciated the lightheartedness of the story but felt it missed potential for suspenseful romance.
- Enjoyed the shared desire for kids in book 2 but was disappointed with the abrupt pregnancy without a clear future plan in book 3, exacerbated by unclear timeline jumps.

Overall, the series offers a light and entertaining experience, but certain repetitive patterns and storytelling choices leave me hesitant about fully endorsing it.

Unfortunate way to break up the lead characters

I know most of these writers do this but when there is a horrible event that “appears” to be something it isn’t so that one of the leads (usually the female) decides to leave the other one WITHOUT even talking to the them I just want to throw up. It is so unbelievable and frustrating that I wish I would never have started the book. There are many other unbelievable things that happen that I can easily forgive like all the pregnancy that happens with 99% birth control because that is positive. But people just don’t end relationships without at least a discussion and chance to find the ba**ard that faked something or set up the misunderstanding. Yeah we want good unbelievable but too many stupid things just ruin it. So I just remember the authors that lean into these things and avoid them in the future.
