Here come the brides. And the bullets...

Bo Creel and Scratch Morton are lifelong drifters who keep one eye on the horizon, one finger on the trigger, and one foot out the door. The job seems easy enough - and the brides-to-be are even easier on the eyes. Cecilia, Beth, Luella, Rose, and Jean all need good husbands. But their prospects look bad when the journey to the altar includes Mexican banditos, scheming silver robbers, and one overbearing rancher who won't take no for an answer. Bo and Scratch promised to keep the ladies safe - and keep their hands to themselves - but it could be the last vow they'll ever make...

The story line was really good and kept me engaged the whole time. I love a good Western! The narrator was good as well--at first, I thought he was to slow and "gravely" but I warmed up to his voice and decided he was the perfect voice.

As always, the Johnston’s have another winner for good reading or listening. The gentlemen that did the narration did a great job and kept you in the story. I say, buy this one

Really enjoyed this story, and much had to do with the narrator. Don’t understand why some reviewers gave him poor reviews. He has a low, gravelly voice that - to me - sounds like a True Old West Cowboy with History. Intend to listen to next books in this series just to hear that voice.
