Publisher's summary

Life has become a farcical mess for icy British A-lister Elizabeth Thornton. America's most-hated villain stars in a top-rated TV medical drama that she hates. Now, she's been romantically linked to her perky, new co-star, Summer, due to the young woman's clumsiness. As a closeted actress, that's the last thing Elizabeth needs. If she could just get her dream movie role, life would be so much better. The only problem is that the eccentric French film-maker offering it insists on meeting her "girlfriend", Summer, first.

Summer Hayes is devastated when her co-star shuns her for accidentally sparking rumors that they're lovers. Now the so-called British Bitch has the audacity to ask Summer to pretend to be her girlfriend to get her a role? Elizabeth doesn't even like Summer! Oh, how she'd love to tell her no. And Summer definitely would if it wasn't for the fact she's maybe a tiny bit in love with the impossible woman.

Contains mature themes.

This book is now in my top 5.

I wasn't expecting to like this book much. I don't mind the ice queen storyline, but I've never been into the Hollywood scene in lesfic. There was one review that convinced me to give it a shot. The narration and expert accents (to this plain American) totally drew me in. The storyline kept me listening from start to finish with no breaks. I loved the humor, the plot progression and the love between the two. This will definitely be a repeat listen for me!

One of my TOP TWO favorite books all time!!

I absolutely LOVED this book, it is definitely one of my top TWO favorite books of this genre, EVER! This and Casting Lacy are my two favorites so far. I love anything Angela Dawe reads, her and Abby Craden could entertain me just reading a phone book! Definitely worth your time and credit!!

so good!!

This was great! best narrator EVER! The way she seamlessly flowed through the accents really made me think there were other people reading. The story itself was really great. I'm a bit of a sucker for the melting ice queen stories

The narration is spot on. The story is very cute. I've listened to it 3 times this year.

Why did I wait so long?

The audio sample didn’t grab me. I’m not a fan of Angela Dawe’s “narrator voice”, but her character voices, her accents, just wow! I felt like I was listening to a full cast recording.
I am so glad I finally gave this one a chance!

I like Lee Winter’s writing. Her stories are full and characters, even peripheral ones, feel real, not one-dimensional.

My wife asked what I was listening to because I was laughing out loud while folding laundry and loading the dishwasher. A thoroughly enjoyable listen.

Don’t wait like I did. Well worth a credit.

Simply Charming

What an absolutely charming book. Angela Dawe is just incredible as a narrator and really creates each character in such a beautifully believable way. This is a slow burn, but completely worth it in the end read that I highly recommend. The plot, use of humor, and character development were all very good. On the whole an excellent read.

Stupid smiles

Stupid smiles. That’s what this book leaves me with. Listening to this for the 10, no maybe 11th time. I still grin like an idiot at the way Summer is just so, well Summer. 😍🥰
