Return to the sizzling glymera’s prison camp in this dark and sexy second novel in the new Black Dagger Brotherhood Prison Camp spin-off series from the #1 New York Times bestselling author J.R. Ward.

In the next installment of bestselling author J.R. Ward’s Prison Camp series, things get steamy when Lucan, a wolven forced into bartering drug deals for the infamous Prison Colony, meets Rio, the second in command for the shadowy Caldwell supplier, Mozart. After a deal goes awry, a wolf with piercing golden eyes swoops in to save her from certain death. As shocking truths unfurl, Rio is uncertain of who to trust and what to believe—but with her life on the line, true love rears its head and growls in the face of danger.

This book had a lot of the elements that I have loved about the BDB. There were familiar favorite Characters likeButch, Hollywood, Doc Jane and Vishous. There was the familiar, hilarious banter between the guys. There was a check in and a side story, about Vishous. There was some steamy adult time and The great Jim Frangione was again the perfect narrator. However, the main Hero and Heroine’s story seemed incomplete.

The book ends just when the couple decided to be together, despite the obstacles they must face. The Hero is a prisoner and they hadn’t rectified that situation. They don’t discuss what, if anything, can be done about their different life expectancies and nothing was discussed about Wolven society and/or lifestyles.

I sure hope that there is a continuation of this story, otherwise, I’ll be very disappointed ☹️!

🌻The H/h’s story was incomplete!🌻

As the previous book; really didn’t like Rio’s character. Rio was too caustic; especially considering Lucan had to save her ass several times, yet she continued to be a butthole. What Lucan saw in her is beyond me. The best thing about the book was Jim’s narration; his description of things and commentary was hilarious. I miss Lassiter but Jim is doing a good job of adding humor to an otherwise serious situation. Also love Lucan going into beast mode. On to the next book.

Not as good…
