Publisher's summary

Mitch Rapp, the CIA’s top operative, searches for a high-level mole with the power to rewrite the world order in this riveting thriller from number one New York Times best-selling author Vince Flynn, written by Kyle Mills.

Mitch Rapp has worked for a number of presidents over his career, but Anthony Cook is unlike any he’s encountered before. Cunning and autocratic, he feels no loyalty to America’s institutions and is distrustful of the influence Rapp and CIA director Irene Kennedy have in Washington.

When Kennedy discovers evidence of a mole scouring the Agency’s database for sensitive information on Nicholas Ward, the world’s first trillionaire, she assigns Rapp the task of protecting him. In doing so, he finds himself walking an impossible tightrope: Keep the man alive, but also use him as bait to uncover a traitor who has seemingly unlimited access to government secrets.

As the attacks on Ward become increasingly dire, Rapp and Kennedy are dragged into a world where the lines between governments, multinational corporations, and the hyper-wealthy fade. An environment in which liberty, nationality, and loyalty are meaningless. Only the pursuit of power remains.

As “one of the best thriller writers on the planet” (The Real Book Spy), Kyle Mills has created another suspenseful read that not only echoes the America of today, but also offers a glimpse into its possible future.

Narrator a problem

Narrator went from a mushy breathy to a mushy breathless. Very hard to understand much of the narration. Please get a new reader.

My God

Holy Hell. I am without words, without breath, and without sleep. Finished this in a day had me glued. As a former Green Beret I am left with the after action adrenaline dump.

Mitch is back and better than ever.

Story and narration are both excellent. Anthony Cook is based off Trump in several ways, with Saudi Arabia taking the place of the Russians as his likely backers. Mitch wins in the end, though it's quite interesting to hear how he does it this time around.

Hopeful

Yes, it was too short, but I am extremely hopeful that in Mr. Mills’ mind, this was simply a segue to the next. There is so much material left unresolved and I am hopeful the next will knock our socks off.

Missing

Wish the end has more details regarding the president, other then that was as wonderful as all the rapp books!! Way to go Vince and Kyle! Great job by George, again.

Rapp is back

Kyle Mills has really made Mitch Rapp his own. What a great story. He has really set Rapp up for continued success. I can't wait for the next book.

The book ended far too soon!

It went too fast. Story too good. Now what? What happens next? Why leave us hanging?

Another great book

Kyle Mills has produced yet another wonderful book starring one of my favorite characters, Mitch Rapp. The story moves pretty quickly and there are some surprises from Mitch’s past thrown in that has me laughing. If you have liked the previous novels in this series… this one will not disappoint!

Finally, George Guidall does a masterful job as always!!

I loved this Mitch Rapp book!!

Through a really good storyline this latest in Mitch Rapp's story was also a look at the character's humanity and mortality.
The usual cast of characters, with a few new ones made for a great listen.
highly recommended for Mitch Rapp fans, and lovers of the genre.
