Publisher's summary

FBI agent Kate O’Hare and charming criminal Nick Fox race against time to uncover a buried train filled with Nazi gold in this thrilling adventure from number one New York Times best-selling author Janet Evanovich and Steve Hamilton.

Type A special agent Kate O’Hare and international criminal Nick Fox have brought down some of the biggest bad guys out there. But now they face their most dangerous foe yet - a vast, shadowy international organization known only as the Brotherhood.

Directly descended from the Vatican Bank priests who served Hitler during World War II, the Brotherhood is on a frantic search for a lost train loaded with $30 billion in Nazi gold, untouched for over seventy-five years somewhere in the mountains of Eastern Europe.

Kate and Nick know that there is only one man who can find the fortune and bring down the Brotherhood - the same man who taught Nick everything he knows - his father, Quentin. As the stakes get higher, they must also rely on Kate’s own father, Jake, who shares his daughter’s grit and stubbornness.

From a remote monastery in the Swiss Alps to the lawless desert of the Western Sahara, Kate, Nick, and the two men who made them who they are today must crisscross the world in a desperate scramble to stop their deadliest foe in the biggest adventure of their lives.

An Exciting Story!

While it's a slight deviation from the first five books in the Fox & O'Hare series in terms of storyline and favorite returning characters, this is still a great read, full of danger and suspense! Scott Brick's reading is excellent as always, lending to the feeling of suspense and danger. In this book we meet Nick's father, Quentin, a welcomed addition, who will hopefully reappear in future books. I enjoyed the storyline, the new characters, and the historic European tour. I mostly liked the return of Nick and Kate as they were in the first five books, back in their usual character - Nick classy and connected, Kate the kick ass agent. The book ends with the anticipation of more excitement to come. I hope that the writers follow through on that.

Great next chapter!

I haven’t been a huge fan of this series and this book once again did not let me down. Each chapter was full of action with comedy sprinkled in. It is was fun getting to meet Nicks dad and I’m always a fan of Kates father. If I had to say a negative it would be at times it seemed like the hunt is too over the top and unrealistic but really that did not stop me from devouring this book. Highly recommended this series and book!

Loved it!

I’ve been waiting for this next Fox/O’Hare novel for quite a while now, and I’m thrilled to say I’m not disappointed. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

The story moved along smoothly and brilliantly. The narrator did a fantastic job. This is an A plus undertaking all around. My attention was held tightly and refused to release me.

My only frustration is I have to wait again for the next entertaining, thrilling Fox/O’Hare novel. Ugh!! I hate waiting, but these books are worth waiting for.
