Publisher's summary

Never in her life has Harlow felt as low as she does now. Even a beating from her mother was easier to take then the humiliation she just suffered at the hands of the Summer's siblings.

Unable to return home due to a promise made to her foster father, she has to stay on until her commitments have concluded. With her new friends Alex and Shane trying to convince her to stay, and her grandparents and father of the same mind, Harlow's heart is torn in two.

But a mysterious phone call and a possible job opportunity may just swing the pendulum to one side.

Contains mature themes.

Things are Getting Even More Interesting

I love Hope and OMG Thomas and Holden!!! Yummy!!! Lexi keeps it interesting while keeping you guessing who is after her. I can’t wait to hear what happens next.

Great story

Great story and great story telling. The book is rated R and ends on a cliffhanger, however both just increase the enjoyment of the book.

Part of a book

Look, I do like what's here, but I also feel like it didn't advance the story a whole lot and is just repeating parts of book one. this could have been condensed and added to book one. It is still keeping my interest, and I will read on.
The reader is a lot less slow and choppy like in the first book.

The producer(s) and/or editor(s) left an obnoxious mistake

I wrote this on goodreads, but since I don’t want to write something different, here’s my half-assed review (despite not being able to edit it here 🙄):

3.5⭐️ -3.75⭐️ — Im being hesitant on my full assessment of this book because it seemed to do a lot in terms of character development, but the plot outside of that seems a tad trite so far… but hoping the author proves me wrong, I’ll leave leeway in my evaluation.

Side note, as my medium of choice is via Audible: it drove me NUTS when the OBVIOUSLY IRISH Tomas RANDOMLY got a French accent in one of the later chapters. Either the voice actress had the understanding the character was French and they re-did the scenes in Tomas’s POV with the accent, just missed that WHOLE chapter… OR, the voice actress is working multiple books and got confused. Either way, the producers & subsequent editors got lazy and didn’t do their job. It was a large contributor to my downgrade in rating. French & Irish accents are VERY different in terms of vibes, generated by societal stereotypes… French: moody, sexy, serious. Irish: Light hearted, fun and also sexy.

Riveting

I’m liking the snarky comments to herself. There’s not an over abundance of internal dialogue.
