Publisher's summary

When love finds you, resistance is futile.

Jill Becket knows she's in trouble the minute a brand-new, gorgeous client walks into her practice.

Amelia Shaw is suffering from a massive burnout, and has no clue of the calamitous effect she's having on her new therapist.

Jill's ethical code prevents her from acting on her feelings.

Falling in love is so low on Amelia's priority list, she doesn't even consider it. Her only current life goal is to feel better.

Can these two women find each other despite the professional and personal obstacles they face?

Harper Bliss does it again!

I have loved every Pink Bean book, and while I can’t say this is my favorite (it’s hard to pick one!) I do love the premise!
I remember having a crush on a therapist when I was an adolescent- but she was no match for Jill (I would have been in serious trouble if she were!)
I love that both MC’s have their own baggage to work through, and they end up HEA no matter the stakes!

What A Voice

I don’t know how many times I rewound the recording to hear Amelia’s voice…Dawe is a wonderful narrator. Her voice is warm and embracing.

Dawe does it again!

Let's talk about "The Dawe Effect." Angela Dawe is so damn good that she elevates every work she narrates. So while I was somewhat uncomfortable with the premise while reading it, I was much less so listening to her performance of it. Interesting.
What still nagged at me was the insta-love aspect. I guess love at first sight is possible, but it seemed more lust at first sight and I think more needed to happen to convince me that it wasn't just Amelia's looks and low, smoky voice that Jill was so drawn to. And Dawe's take on that voice?? Lord. Have. Mercy.
Also - when Dawe performed the love scene it was so hot that I nearly had to strap myself to the chair to prevent myself from sliding right out of it. I won't repeat what she whispered here, but let me just say, that scene alone was worth the cost of the whole damn book. lol No kidding! Just scorching, folks. Again - I will purchase anything Dawe narrates because she's just so talented and I definitely think in this case the audio version is the way to go. I love the Pink Bean series in general and am really grateful Bliss gave us a new installment.

Awesome Love Story

Great addition to the Pink Bean series. I just love the characters and entertaining stories in the series. Jill Beckett is the Therapist in my dreams. Amelia Shaw is the scientist and athlete who makes the match exceptional. A blend of erotic and tender moments. Narration creates a perfect sexy deep voiced ambience. Recommend series.

CanI give more than 5 stars?

this is the 10th book in the series yet you can read it by itself, and I can’t compare it to the others, because I love them all. I loved the fact that it deals with work ethics and love at first sight.
Angela Dawe as always was amazing, and as the voice of the main character is described in the book she really captured the sound and it was WOW.

Therapy is all sigh

Of course you cannot PASS on Angela Dawe.
In this fun reduction of how you can see someone and just know that person is one in the world for you.

Boring

Honestly this story was bland as hell, I don’t understand why so many people liked it. The relationship was stiff with no chemistry. Also, Dawe typically does wonderful work but missed the mark with this one.. considering the story is based in Australia but for some reason the characters have American accents..
Wouldn’t recommend.

The Weaker of the Series

I've listened to the entire Pink Bean series and this is, by far, the weakest of the books. The story is so-so, based on the character Jill, the psychologist who treated Hera, and is now faced with a female client that compromises her ethics and restraint. It has some humorous moments and Angela Dawe does a good job trying to salvage the book, but it falls short. Sorry Harper!
