The perfect complete love story.

The perfect complete love story. I love who this book doesn’t let nothing to the imagination. I love how Liam is, and how he is with and for his Beaker. I love the banter between them and all the true love, ever before they knew they were in love with each other. I love this book so much. You are definitely going to laugh and at some point maybe cry a little too. I love so much how they are home for each other. And the audiobook, oh my, the audiobook is perfect. John Lane with that British accent is so so good. Both narrators managed to makes me feel everything and blush too. It’s an amazing performance. So good. Congratulations on another successful book.

I laughed and cried

I laughed so hard my stomach hurt at the epilog especially and cried that this book is among my favorite listens. John Lane was brilliant with his wonderful renditions of all the characters. LOVE THIS BOOK! A must read and listen.

John Lane...British and Scottish- omg

So I loved the story and all the characters but I have to say the best part was narrators. I have listened to John Lane a lot (especially for Melanie Moreland novels) but never with an accent. Yummy! Even Maxine Mitchell’s male vocals were spot on. Well worth the credit

Fun read.

This book was so funny and totally what I expected in a romcom. I laugh so hard I had tears running down my face. I adored Liam, for a Hollywood star he was a normal guy, it was refreshing to read about a real person being an actor. Shelby was so cute, sassy, funny and she kept Liam on his toes. The book read like a movie, there were parts that kept me on the edge of my seat. Fun, sweet read.

Great story and Narrator

What a lovely story! And the male narrator is fantastic, perfect for this character. Made this story even better. However the female narrator was just truly awful. Thankfully she narrated a very little bit of this. Her delivery was so flat it was almost as if she was deliberately sounding as if she was bored stiff, or bothered that she had to grudgingly do this. But every time it switched back to him it immediately got great again.
Liam is a movie star who has panic attacks from the awful media, with good reason. The paparazzi is so incredibly invasive in his life he hates to go to any of the necessary press engagements, premiers, etc so he has a couple of platonic friends who attend with him, in addition to bodyguards, just to be able to deal. He is a total homebody and has great friends he enjoys his time with. One day he comes home early and finds his housekeeper selling his underwater online, and he fires her immediately - setting off her rage. She proceeded to destroy his place while he hides in the bathroom, calling his agent and friend to help, who sends the police and handles it all. Now Liam still needs a housekeeper, and his agents sister Shelby has just found out her husband has emptied their bank account and split, leaving her high and dry. He arranges for her to come be Liam's new housekeeper, which she happily agrees to. And they just immediately hit it off, in one of the best stories I've read, and now had the pleasure to hear narrated. This is so well written, with great supporting characters in addition to Liam and Shelby. They are all very endearing. This is one of my favorite books, and now Audiobook. I just love this story and will enjoy rereading and/or listening to for years to come. Thank you Melanie Moreland!

I don’t like angst.

Loved this book, lite and fun... with a little drama and heat thrown in for good measure. Loved the characters and got very attached. I will listen to it again soon.

no spoilers

I found a new author. I'm not a big fan of romance but felt super compelled to listen to this one only because l love John Lane he truly is the best narrator there isn't A voice he can't do and has a way to draw you into a story Mitchell I wasn't A fan she sounded bored and didn't portray Shelby right thank god she only dose a VERY small amount of narrating. I absolutely loved Moreland what a beautifully written book lots of laughs, extremely well written characters every single one of them. I loved that there really wasn't that typical girl thinks she has to leave and guy is sad and chases her and has to find a way to make things right girl whines a lot then they get back together. and it wasn't A alpha male book either. don't want to give ANYTHING AWAY just please listen to it you won't be sorry it was a really fun book and different. I'd listen to this book again for sure and that's very unusual for me.

Great banter

I love Liam's sense of humor. Great funny and self-deprecating humor. Also the Best epilog ever. I just wanted to stay in their world. A full blissful life.

🥰🥰🥰

This book makes me feel like I’m snuggling under a warm blanket with a cup of tea. It’s a beautiful friends to lovers, low angst love story, about Liam and Shelby aka Oscar and Beaker. Most romances focus on the struggle of establishing a relationship, and end once the couple finally admits feelings, but this goes beyond. When the story starts, Liam and Shelby already love each other, they just haven’t realized they’re “in love.” This story is also about the evolution of Liam. He’s younger than Shelby and has never had to take care of anything or anyone, including himself because as an actor, he has people who take care of everything. Once he realizes his love for Shelby, he wants to be the one who takes care of her.
The narrators were so perfect for this story! My favorite thing about Melanie Moreland audios is that we get Maxine Mitchell and John Lane. Maxine doesn’t have a lot of narration, but what she has as Shelby conveys all the emotions of reluctance and fear Shelby experiences due to her feelings for Liam.
John Lane carries 90% of this narration and kills it! Each character has a unique voice and you always know who is speaking. Even if you aren’t a fan of this genre, it’s worth a listen just to experience the extremely talented voice of John Lane. You might not think the story is perfect, but the audio definitely is.
Take the chance, use the credit, you will not regret it.
