Acerca de esta escucha

There are nine known realms, a world for each race, including dwarves, gnomes, and elves. In the middle rests Middang3ard.

Each world knows the others. Each, except Earth.

Humans long ago turned their backs on magic, throwing their stock into science and technology, their governments shielding the people from the reality of what was going on elsewhere. So be it. Humans were never very good at getting along with other races anyway.

Then the Dark One appeared, threatening to overrun the nine worlds, starting with Middang3ard and ending with the humans' planet.

The second planet just went dark; Earth can't stay out of the fight, but can it do anything to save its own future?

Now, humans must send elite warriors to Middang3ard to fight, else humans will fight on the shores of their own lands when the Dark One invades Earth.

Too bad their elite starts and ends with Robert "Suzuki" Fletcher and his team of Mundanes.

While the story is interesting, I can’t get past the dialogue. It’s as if a 13-yr old boy wrote it over using insults and cuss words. DoucheNozzle was used a couple dozen times as both insults and affection?? Was this AI translated from another language? Just too odd to keep listening.

Good story with dialogue by a 13-yr old?

Imagine the characters of the Big Bang Theory getting transported to Asgard in the middle of a war and you will have an idea. Overall, entertaining to say the least.

Kind of silly, kind of funny, kind of badass.

Took a risk and ended up finding one of my favorite books I've listened to in quite a long time

loved it

I figured I would enjoy it since Anderle was involved. This was a mistake. Poorly thought out world, not enough depth, or enough action. So much of the story is standing around talking before moving somewhere else to stand around and talk.

Voice acting was acceptable, but wasted on bad material.

Terrible

There is a lot of Litrpg titles out there and this one does little to stand out from the crowd. The plot revolves around a VR game used as "Training" for the "real world" of Middangard.

We have our party of four adventures, who get an opportunity to partake in the war against some dark lord threatening all existence.

And not very much happens. There is a really strange and non nonsensical recruitment process. The magic system is not well explained either and despite the name, the party gets split early on.

I still have a couple of hours of listening to go, but I not going to bother finishing it. Get it on sale, but do not waste a credit.

Its....ok

I hate gamer books. If you hate gamer books, you will hate this book. Really.

Gamer book

nothing really happens... its weird like the author is trying to mimic a plot or mimic pop culture references but its so shallow and facade. in the plot, nothing happens. its small time generic banter that feels painfully forced and souless.

waste of time, zero plot or action, poorly executed
