Avoidance of the truth is the root of all problems here.

Brea is truly sweet, innocent and pious. Bryant Cutter has claimed her only to shut down everyone else. Always her best friend but definitely not an innocent. He’s publicly claimed her to shut down the dangerous player One-Mile Pierce Walker.

Brea is drawn to him, lit afire by him. While she would do anything for Cutter, the only man she’ll give everything to is Pierce. He hold not just her body but her heart.

His job is dangerous and he is danger. It oozes from his pores. When he finds himself in a situation he cannot escape from, he learns that he loves the girl that occupies every space in his mind, his pretty girl, Brea.

This book end with an emotional cliffhanger. He’s confessed his hell to her and is called to duty. Brea will either stay or run and he’s worried about the latter.

Good narration. Now for book 2!!

I love this narrator. Honestly anything he reads, I’m down. The story is also so compelling. Cliffhanger made me immediately start the second book. Can’t wait to hear more!

There are a small handful of actors who can make any audiobook a great listen. Christian Fox is high on that list. His acting skills and the story hooked me and I am looking forward to hearing Part 2.

It took me a bit to get interested in this book. The narrator was great as a man but not too fond of a female. The story line kept my interest.... Then boom a horrible cliff hanger.....

This is an all-time favorite of mine. How can it be that so few have read and reviewed this book? Everything about it is perfect. I can't believe I didn't own all three in the series, but now I do! On to Wicked Ever After...

It ended on a cliff hanger… like what?!?!?! Anyway, I’m jumping into the next one 😀

Normally I hate, hate the virginal innocent tropes and she was a preacher’s daughter? I was prepared to hate it but was committed…. But Brea? Our FMC did not disappoint, she was not holier than thou and didn’t act dumb while pretending to be smart… it was almost realistic… I really enjoyed this story… even though Cutter(?) don’t know the spelling since its audio was annoying AF!!!

The MMC, One Mile is sexy as all outdoors and Christian Fox really did an amazing job bringing him to life… I can’t say much because I’m itching to start the second book…

Worth it!!!!
