Publisher's summary

Another day, another dead woman in Ellison Russell's study.

Only this one claimed to be Mrs. Anarchy Jones.

As Ellison juggles mothers, daughter, unhappy wives, and near-miss murder attempts, one thing is clear - someone will go to any lengths to hide the truth.

Can Ellison and Anarchy catch a killer before the body count rises? Or will Ellison be the next corpse in the study?

Fabulous!

Will recommend this book to anyone. My husband likes this series as well. A light study in 1970s society.

“Ellison! How could you?”

I love the way Julie Mulhern’s words and characters dance across the pages and through my mind. It’s all so vivid. How could I possibly enjoy these books more? Just add Callie Beaulieu’s narration that brings such a perfect compliment to the pictures Julie and “our Ellison” paint!
The Country Club Murders has clearly become my favorite series of the “cozies” and “Killer Queen” doesn’t disappoint. Of course Ellison finds another body. Who is it? Mrs. Anarchy Jones? No! That can’t be right. What happened? Was it another murder? Why was she here? And in Henry’s study? (The “Where”). This has the makings of another fun mystery! (That all happens in the first few pages, so I’m not really giving anything away.)
In addition to this mystery you can add in all the regular delightful characters and the usual complications like Max and Pansy and “Ellison! How could you?” herself ... Mother. Add to that some new characters like another Mrs. Jones (counting the dead woman in the study, we have at least two).
Who knew there was so much going on in Kansas City’s Country Club set in the 1970s? Another great story and listen. I think I will go now and listen again! 📚❤️

May be the best book in the series

Ending was so well done, there was no way to predict it. I recommend listening to the prior books first.

winner

Great multigenerational characters, evolved plot, and well-researched 1970s setting in the American Midwest. Fun series!
