Nathan Oliver, younger son of an earl, is content being a country doctor. Years ago he had worked for the Crown, but when a spy mission went awry, he left London for a simpler life. This was one of the best stories I’ve heard in a while. I am an avid listener (3-5 books a week) so I hear a lot. I love when there is a mystery to solve and not so much animosity between the characters. I wish this author wrote more! She did a wonderful job. Made me cry at the end.

I loved the storyline, their banter, their quarrels, their flirting!!! Such a good book made even better by Mary Sarah!!!!

Wonderful romance story!

A book with potential and some witty dialogue is trashed by this reader. She pauses between each sentence sounding breathless- I had to speed it up to make it bearable. Worst of all, she’s unable to pronounce a short “a.” Back becomes “Bock” and “act” becomes “oct.” I asked my English husband if there is anywhere in England where her accent derives, he looked at me like I was crazy.
Please, Ms D’Alessadro, write more books but stay far far away from this reader!
