Bearing His Sin

Cole should have killed Anja the moment he realized she was his mate. Instead, he let her live and now they're on the hunt, chasing the morons who think they can force her to marry another man. Like hell. And while this shapeshifting bear might have his share of sins, he's not going to let little things like murder and mayhem prevent him from having the woman meant to be the keeper of his heart.

Bought by the Bear

Josilyn Martinez just needed the money to help raise her nephew. That's it. There's no other reason she would take a job posing as a shifter's mate so he can assure his grandmother he's settled down. There's no reason to stay at his place so they learn "more about each other." And there's definitely no good reason she should get involved with the hard, hot, and handsome shifter that's hired her.

The Alpha and I

When bar owner Devon Kincaid finds a bleeding man - a hot, hard, handsome, naked bleeding man - in the snow one night, she brings him home to care for him. He's definitely not like any man she's ever met before, but what she doesn't realize is that he's not just a man....

Loved all of the stories

If you are familiar with any of these authors, you know that this series will be a fantastic read. And without a doubt, none of the books disappoint. All of them are wonderfully written, and beautifully narrated.

Finding a mate

Easy wholesome stories to enjoy. The clashing of the different world, the understanding arriving from it made my listening.

Bad Narrator

Thirty minutes is all it took for me to find a way to return this, which I can't because I didn't use a credit to purchase. I have no idea if the stories are any good. This narrator has little to no inflection all the while it sounds like she's clenching her jaw. Listen to the sample before purchasing, I forgot to and am kicking myself for wasting money.

Not as punny as the title would suggest

I really only liked the first novella because it had plenty of humor, personality and banter.
The Table of Contents clearly labels the three novellas, so you don’t need to hunt for the start of each.
All three books are narrated by Ms. Skyye, who is great with campy dialogue (her Russian accents in novella 1 were gold) but not so great outside of the dialogue. I find her cadence clunky and am sporadically annoyed by her failure to pronounce the ‘T’ in words like button.

Bearing His Sin by Eve Langlais
“I licked it; I own it.”
Think The Whole Nine Yards, but with a shifter bear assassin and looking like Joe Manganiello instead of Bruce Willis. Anja was super fun as the Viking sized Russian firecracker. Yes, it was kind of outlandish, with mafia shifters and country hick-hijinks. I, for one, prefer campy to angsty shifter romance. This is a lot like her Kodiak Point series (I’d recommend the Kodiak Point collection of stories 1-3 over this one).

Bought by the Bear by Millie Taiden
“Holy c…, she was in the playboy mansion!”
Xander was more manchild than alpha shifter, still living in a frat-pad complete with disco balls and twister shower decorations. He didn’t exactly say sexy beast to me. What I like about shifter romance is that the guys can show their animal/alpha side and be more impulsive and possessive than I’d tolerate in other genres. But, here Xander is way too much of a gentleman, keeping to himself the knowledge that Jocelyn is his mate and wooing her with kindness. Also, much of the story is told via info dumps on how shifter packs work, why she’s raising her nephew, and how bad her ex screwed her over. This one had too many things that didn’t come together for me.

The Alpha and I by Kate Baxter
Finding a hunky naked man should have been way more entertaining. Sadly, this was quite the bland, matter of fact listen. Like the second story, this one features a very polite and totally in control werewolf. Devon was also merry go round meh. When she finds out he’s a shifter, or she’s in danger, or he wants to turn her … it’s all very low key normal.
