If you like military science fiction and mechs, this is for you

A book about a group of teenagers, suddenly thrust into the hellfire of a decades-long war between the tyrannical Terran Alliance and the Free Colonies. Piloting combat mechs with a new generation of AI modules, they are went into battle by a scheming admiral with nefarious plans of his own. It’s a war that’s been going on for so long that massive casualties have forced both sides to starts replacing humans with more and more sophisticated machines on the battlefield, the result of which is that battles have grown even more terrible, devastating entire worlds, leaving behind graveyards, where surviving machines roam the desolate landscape, fighting among themselves while fulfilling their orders.
