Publisher's summary

I Kissed an Earl is another installment in rapidly rising star Julie Anne Long's sensual and emotionally charged Pennyroyal Green series, centered around the longstanding feud of the wealthy Eversea and Redmond families of Pennyroyal Green, Sussex. I Kissed an Earl absolutely brims with romance, adventure, and, of course, intense passion, as a beautiful, willful Regency lady searching for her lost brother stows away on a sailing ship - and ends up enchanting the vessel's highborn, hard-headed Captain.

Contains mature themes.

Amazing, loved it

Justine Erye always does a fantastic performance, my favorite for regency romance. Story fantasic, different from the normal regency novels.

Awesome 2nd-6th in series

Narration was great. Justine Eyre has been a slow acquired taste for me as I really hated her voice in the past but with time and finding a good speed to listen to her with ( usually .95x) I've come to actually really love her.

This review is for the 2nd through 6th in series. Highly enjoyed all these and recommended!

Loved It!

The best in the series so far and now one of my favorite audiobooks and historical romance novels. Complex and interesting characters, sexy and intelligent banter, a conflict that kept me riveted until the last chapter. Highly recommend to anyone who loves love and a little adventure outside the ballroom.

Loved it!

This was a very enjoyable book, both Violet and Asher were likable characters and I appreciated the honesty between them with the exception of some subterfuge. The voyage across the sea was entertaining although a lady of that time was unlikely to have accommodated so well. As much as I love Justine Eyre she stumbled across more than a few words in this story which was surprising,I even laughed at Beezbub”

awesome series

I've enjoyed listening to Justine Eyre's performance of this series. Historical romance with a light mystery. I'm waiting on the rest of this series.

Swashbuckling Romance!

Easy to follow but intriguing mystery set on the high seas (complete with pirates!). This story has embedded phrases like “slowly, slowly”, “”higher, higher”, “lightly, lightly “ about twenty different times. Play a game as you listen to count them all. Not sure why the author did this so often in this installment but it isn’t too distracting. The narrator is one of my favorites and always makes the most of the story she re-enacts.

adventure of the first order

Engaging and exciting. Marvelous characters, though the Earl really gave up on himself at the end....all for Violet!
