Publisher's summary

What starts as a straightforward magical mission turns deadly.

Spring Thorne's life is a mess. The man Spring loves seems to loathe her, family enemies are coming out of the woodwork, and her mother remains in a 20-year stasis, waiting on ancient artifacts to revive her. When Spring's uncle asks her to retrieve one of the final two objects, she jumps at the chance - until she finds out dear old Uncle Alastair has also recruited Knox Carlyle; the recent bane of her not-so-idyllic existence.

Knox Carlyle avoids Spring at all costs. Since the day she became an adult, she's made it her mission to attract his notice. He refuses to allow himself to love her, believing his dark past eliminates any chance they have to be together. But with every look, every touch, his hard-won determination weakens.

With an army of Desorcelers determined to capture or kill witches at every turn, Knox is compelled to protect Spring from her own stubborn tendency to charge into trouble even if it means following her to South America to retrieve a powerful amulet. But when Knox fails to protect Spring, he is forced to go to extremes in order to save the only woman he's ever loved.

Contains mature themes.

Fan

Loving the series. I am glad that Spring did not have to relive the memories. I am glad that Knox and Spring built a house and loving each other.
Now yo see what happens with Holly and Quentin.

I love this series

I love this series, I couldn't wait to hear Springs book. It was not as funny as the rest and much more serious and sad then I would have expected.
I was not a fan of the narrators breath voice of Spring.

Wonderful and heartwarming

This one will make you cry and laugh. There are some horrific events in this book. I would like to say that although Spring endured a lot, the description of event aren’t graphic or detailed. As for the the other parts of the book, Cromer has a way with words and detail.

I say these things to contradict a bad review I read. That review was a spoiler alert and made the horrific events seem like that had too much detail and created flashbacks for victims.

I don’t want to ruin the book, but just know that the world is righted, true love always prevails, and there is a lot revelation in the family history and character development explained in this book. I hope you enjoy the book as much as I did.

Loved, loved, loved!

I have enjoyed listening to the first four book's of the "Thorn Witch's". The author is an excellent writer. The sense of family, and love are heartwarming. The characters and the crisis they face are sure to keep your attention. I can hardly wait for the other five book's to this series come out. These books are sure to be added to my most love.

Rape DNF

I do not read reviews as I don’t believe that I get an honest feeling on a book. For that I count on the warnings decent authors give us to let us know there may be something that will trigger issues. This unfortunately is not such an author! No warnings and you land smack dab into kidnapping, torture and rape! Not exactly what I want to read in a romance novel. I won’t read her again! Shame on you! Thanks for the hours of panic attacks to come!

Terrible

This series was terrible. Most of the plot is taken up by will-they, won’t-they angst. Literally! Like a dummy I read the whole series thinking surely each book will not be as bad as the last.. nope.
Also, I hate it when female readers try and do male voices (..and vice versa.) She made the male characters sound like a whiny child. FOR THE LOVE STOP DOING ACCENTS. If accents aren’t your thing then stop doing them. This narrator made the Asian villain out to sound like a caricature.
