Publisher's summary

Self-obsessed. Arrogant. Jerk. I mean...what sensible man would have nothing but a towel wrapped around his waist in his own office?

And what sensible girl can avoid all those naughty thoughts then?

He's in his 40s - old enough to be my father.

OMG...those green eyes that I want to drown myself into, that smooth voice when he orders me around, and don't even get me started on the muscles...and those hard abs I saw that day in his office...oooh lord! Have mercy! Because I am compelled to...call him daddy!

He says, "Age brings in experience," and I am so ready to surrender my V-card.

We are going great, but then he decides to change things. I can't! I can't allow him to ruin my career.

So what...if I am head over heels in love with him and the baby in my belly is his!

Contains mature themes.

Meh, it’s okay. Soft core daddy romance

I was expecting a lot more from this book. With the title “Daddy”, you’d think it was used a lot. She called him daddy maybe 5-6 times in very meh scenes. It was good, but I wouldn’t have named the book daddy because of it. I listened to it speed up at 1.2 because the male narrator made me sleepy at first. Once I adjusted the speed, it was much better. Overall, the story was good, sweet, with steamy scenes that were about a 3 on a scale of 1-5, which was the most disappointing.

Couldn't finish

It seemed like it would be good but the male voice is not working for me.

Would have preferred Elizabeth Russell reading entire book.

CONTAINS SPOILERS
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️5 STARS character development
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️5 STARS Happy Ever After
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 STARS Overall Story
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 STARS FEMALE NARRATION
⛔️⛔️⛔️⛔️⛔️ Negative Stars MALE NARRATOR

😐I wish narrators' voice would be hired to match what we expect from the damn bookcover!

😡Almost DNF. I started it three times trying to get past Alex Kydd's voice. I typically ignore all audibles with him. I cannot fathom why he keeps being hired for adult sexual roles. Alex's natural tone reaches a max of 20 yrs. His modulation and candence always sounds like an 80s stoner/surfer.... think Jeff Spicoli from Fast Times at Ridgemont High. At times during this reading, it was almoat like Alex was attempting an accent, which only added a major creepy factor. IMO his voice is NOT alluring, sexy, or seductive. He always seems like a punk and his female impersonations always sound whiny and every sentence sounds like a question. The only way I get through his readings of any book, is to change to a 1.3 on playback speed. I tried skipping his POV chapters but realized there was far too much development so I had to go back and listen. I even looked for this on Kindle just to bypass Kydd's voice. Unfortunately, it wasn't on the platform.

😊Even though Elizabeth Russell's voice is a bit deeper than an average 20something, I'd 100% prefer hearing her narrate the entire book solo. Her male character voice matches the age of the character and book cover!!!!

Outside of the age difference and the Epilogue bringing it full circle, the "Daddy" title doesn't really fit this book. Bev says it in the heat of passion 5 times and once in a rant when he cuts off all communication. I think the majority of readers would have expected a lot more spice and dirty talk with "Daddy" as the title; It should've been "SIR".

Fitz is endearing during her declaration of being a virgin; as in your my first kiss, no boyfriend, no dating.
I know we need the angst, but if he knew there was going to be a NDA he probably should have had that conversation before asking her on a date when the whole end game was to take her Virginity. I would have liked a bit more after care (a single glass of water is bare minimum) especially if he claimed to be 'bigger than average'.

I commend Bev's character for researching NDAs and accepting her assumptions were wrong and moving forward. The way she presented the contract was perfect IMO.

Bev's public blowout that express their relationship was much more mild than I expected. Fitz handled it with polished grace.

The Epilogue was adorable, magical moment with friends captured on film.

Good Listen

I enjoyed this easy listen, Good story, loved the characters. Bev was relatable. Fitz was fun. not many characters outside those 2, work is their whole life. Baby is not really part of this story, kept expecting it and it was not till the epilogue.

I did enjoy this book, would have been nice for a little more development, I was left with a few questions.

No insta-love

Not as raunchy as I would prefer but absolutely LOVED the story. I loved that it wasn’t insta-love and that they actually did a relationship build together

Not very good

The story itself was not very good, but the narrators were worst. The male narrator sounded like a young nervous boy (he was in his 40’s) and the female narrator sounded like she was in her 30-40’s (she was 22). I would be able to tolerate the female voice if it were a more mature story, but the male voice shouldn’t be doing romance at all. The story overall was just so so.

Quirky and Cute

It took awhile for me to get used to the MMC voice.
Cute story I could picture the characters and they were made for each other

Yes, DADDY!

Daddy by Katy Kaylee. Audiobook review. Narrators Alex Kidd and Elizabeth Russell both read well. Great story. JP

Here's a quote from the book:

I leaned forward ever so slightly, interested by this strange woman and her responses. “And what is your own opinion?” I expected her to falter there. To lie and come up with some sort of flattery that she obviously didn’t feel. Or worse, try to couch her negative thoughts in some sort of positive buzzword salad that would make me retch. All of those were wastes of time, and time was already so damn precious.

“I’m not paid to have an opinion sir, just to assist you.”

GAH! 😮

So cheesy!!! I can’t even! Alex Kydd usually does a pretty good job but the dialogue was ridiculous! I can’t even - DNF. I made it about 3-1/2 hours and I had to stop. Don’t bother with this one.

Description is misleading

The narration was not an issue for me. My issue was the description of the story was so misleading.

*******SPOILER******

Baby? What baby? The HEA baby in the last pages of the book.
