Wax On, Whacks Off

Nobody likes getting bullied, and Donny has had enough. Deciding to take matters into his own hands, he solicits the help of the old Asian man at the end of his street to teach him Karate. During a grueling two days of training, Donny earns belt after belt, until he finally becomes a Karate Master.

But there is more to those belts than there seems. Cursed with ancient dark magic, they have a mind of their own. Will Donny be able to stand up to his bullies? Will he be able to overpower the will of the spirit trapped within the cursed belts?

Sense and Sensibility and Sasquatch

Following the death of their father, sisters Elinor and Marianne Dashwood are sent to toil at a rundown logging camp deep in Kentucky. Faced with the prospect of being married off to Colonel Brandon, the camp's elderly owner, Marianne comes up with the less-than-cunning plan of passing off the murderous man-ape that haunts the nearby forest as her fiance.

Both sense and sensibility take a back seat as Willoughby, as the beast is dubbed, tears a swath of destruction through Barton Woods. Can the Dashwood sisters triumph in the face of such carnage to find true love?

Contains mature themes.

Buncha dirty pervs

What kind of degenerate, disgraceful, shame ridden buffoon, wrote these stories. It's like I walked into the back of a pornography store fell down because of what was on the floor then tried to wipe it off on my boots only to discover I had stepped in what someone's dog had left in a pile outside the store. This couldn't be more disgusting. Robert Bevan, more like Robber Beaver. Steve Wetherell? Skeeze Were in hell. Drew Hayes!? Nice guy well written stories would listen again. Robert Bevan again! Why is he on here twice and the style of writing didn't even match his other stories. Not that I would buy all eight volumes of caverns and creatures. Four of which are now nicely packaged together. This collection of truly horrible writers and stories must truly be the work of some dark god. Also if I didn't mention Drew Hayes wrote a rather funny little story on here. Made the whole thing totally worth the buy.

**This review is satire. If you came here for number three without having listened to the others you are missing some brain cells. These collections are a great escape as always. A break from the daily grind. Please buy it and look into the authors.

A mostly good collection.

All of the stories were good accept for Sense and Sencibility and Sasquach. This story droned on for entirly too long and I couldn't wait for it to be over to move on to the next one in line.

So inappropriate that you have to listen.

Insane, hilarious and so far fetched that these stories had me rolling. Absolutely love Robert Bevan.

First story is crass but hilarious

The first story is one the funniest grossest off the charts (bound to get an uproar from sjw) the second was very difficult to follow Rick is my favorite author so I was bummed when it was read like an essay about physics in a high school art class. Just disinterested and feels like she is trying to finish it as quickly as possible. Get Kathleen Mcelnerny to read it or go with one of Ricks usuals. i haven’t finished it yet because it just had no draw the way it was read. I’ll finish it eventually

Good but the weakest of the Shingles collections

I'll still give this full marks because I think anthologies should be judged with more leeway than standard books, but this is the weakest collection so far from the Shingles series.

- Wax On, Whacks Off: Ok but far from Bevan’s best. Not an encouraging start considering he's one of the 2 authors that I really get Shingles for.

- Sense and Sensibility and Sasquatch: horrible. I couldn’t get more than about 1/3 into it before I couldn’t take it anymore. First time I'm not finished a Singles story.

- Space Werewolf: After a rocky start we finally see a good story. This is more on par with previous Shingles stories.

- Welcome to Camp Crystal Meth: Feeling better. This is in line with what I expect from Bevan.

- They Came From Studio 13: From anyone else, this would have been fine output. Once the story gets going, it's pretty compelling. Hayes is a victim of his own success though and my bar for him is higher. I've re-listened to his other Shingles stories many times. I doubt I will with this one.

- Curse of the Three-Eyes Squid: A 3rd entry from Bevan and he's definitely back on his game.

Great Series!

Great Series! Very, very funny, but very, very adult. Not for the prudish readers! Potty humor, weird characters, and perfect narration put it all together. Fun, but not for the faint of "fart", I mean "heart". I hope they keep making this series.

Half and half

A full one half of this collection was by a single author. Moreover a single author who told the same story three times.

All six stories were enjoyable, less so for the repeated stories.

The performances of the narrators always made the best of the material they had to hand.

I would love Vol. 4, I do just hope that collection is less focused on a single author. Between five authors, and whatever guest authors they can manage, that should be doable
