Publisher's summary

There’s complicated. And then there’s Rowen Sterling.

After numbing pain for the past five years with boys, alcohol, and all-around apathy, she finds herself on a Greyhound bus to nowhere Montana the summer after she graduates high school. Her mom agreed to front the bill to Rowen’s dream art school, but only if Rowen proves she can work hard and stay out of trouble at Willow Springs Ranch. Cooking breakfast at the crack of dawn for a couple dozen ranch hands and mucking out horse stalls are the last things in the world Rowen wants to spend her summer doing.

Until Jesse Walker saunters into her life wearing a pair of painted-on jeans, a cowboy hat, and a grin that makes something in her chest go boom-boom. Jesse’s like no one else, and certainly nothing like her. He’s bright and shiny to her dark and jaded.

Rowen knows there’s no happily-ever-after for the golden boy and the rebel girl, even happily-right-now is a stretch, so she tries to forget and ignore the boy who makes her feel things she’s not sure she’s ready to feel. But the more she pushes him away, the closer he seems to get. The more she convinces herself she doesn’t care, the harder she falls.

When her dark secrets refuse to stay locked away, Rowen realizes it’s not just everyone else she needs to be honest with. It’s herself.

Recommended for mature listeners due to moderate language and sexuality. *

Loved it!

I’d really like to speak to the narrative. I seen many remarks of it lacking or being annoying. I personally thought Kate Metroka did an excellent job and her voice perfectly aligned with the store. I was easily able to incision her as Rowena’s age, this bringing Rowena’s character to life.

The story was sweet and attention grabbing. I am sorry it took so long to read.

Found a Good One!

A young woman seeking redemption, a young man stuck in the only home he's ever known. They come together in an opposites attract moment, and thier story is fun and sweet. Secondary characters add to the story. Unfortunately, the narrator detracts from it. She's a little too high with a nasally, childish voice. I'll be avoiding her in future audiobooks.

Sweet

This is a very sweet YA novel with a simple plot and good character development. A nice choice for a light summer read. The narrator sounds very young but main character is 18 so probably fitting.

Amazing

Love the story line. It was smart and sexy. Keeping you on your toes. The dark and moody to sun and shiny. Just a all around amazing read!

Oh boy how I love me a cowboy!

Admittedly I am reviewing this after having already listened to and read the rest of the series. This book remains my favorite, though the others are worth reading. It's fun to learn about everyone and see where they end up. But meeting everyone and learning what started it all is fantastic. I recommend this book and the series!! Now for the negative, it wasn't AS bad in this book as it was the rest, but I was extremely disappointed in Kate Metroka's performance. At risk of being too harsh or critical, I don't believe this is her calling. I'm certainly not saying I could do it better, I just know SOMEONE could. Hope this helps!

Good story narrator just okay

Overall the plot of the story was good but I just felt the book deserved a better narrator. The narrator Kate Metroka tried but her voice was just too young for me. I realize the main character is only 18 but Kate sounded as if she was 13 years old. It wasn't horrible enough that I couldn't finish the book, it just annoyed me at the more "mature" parts in the book. Regardless, the story kept my interest. Its about a girl whose turned to drugs, sex, and a black wardrobe due to neglect from her only parent. Her mother who cares less for her gives an ultimatum that if she wants to go to a fancy art school than she needs to prove herself over the summer when she is sent to a cowboy ranch. You realize the mother most likely just wanted her out of her hair and probably had no intentions of letting her go either way.
The summer ends up being a great thing because the ranch is run by a loving family who show her what its like to have people who care and understand. She falls in love with the son. He helps her start to see that she isn't worthless. There is a lot more twists & turns to the story. So, if you can get past the young narrator than this sweet love story is worth it.

Not what I expected.

I absolutely love this author so I purchased this book based on my previous experience. I found this story to be sweet and less drama than what I'm used to. It's a good read and id recommend it.

The narration almost ruined it for me

The story is pretty good if you read the text instead of listening to the narration. The unnecessary and ill-placed inflections made the characters seem completely different than I'd made them in my head while reading the actual book. I'm not a fan of instalove, so when the ILYs popped in way too soon, I kind of checked out.

Great Book, So-so Narrator

The story and the characters were good, but the narrator detracted from the book. She was a little too high and nasal-y, so it was difficult to distinguish between characters in conversations at times.

Cute and fluffy with a tad too much melodramatics

If you could sum up Lost and Found in three words, what would they be?

sweet, quite hot and really entertaining

Would you be willing to try another book from Nicole Williams? Why or why not?

Yes, I enjoyed this one, the writing is fun, the narrations was great. I am planning to go one with the series in fact.

Which scene was your favorite?

When Rowen saw Jesse for the first time. And all the other yummy jesse moments

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Careful yummy cowboys everywhere!

Any additional comments?

3,5 Stars

I think I actually would have liked this less as a book- yeah really! It was narrated really well but that's not really the reason. Nope, it's all the melodramatics in the last quarter. I could deal with all the back and forth in the beginning. But in the end, it got a bit old. So listening to it while working I just thought: damnation! get over your F...fizzling selfs! be done! It would have annoyed me endless if I would have used my rather preciously rare free time to read it.
The big showdown action, was well, so unrealistic on one level so movie on the other- buuuuut *looks around and whispers* I kinda enjoyed it.

All in all a sweet, quite hot and really entertaining audiobook. I will definitely go on with the series - in audio
