Adapted Means Abridged

I read this book a few decades ago. I remember the book having much more content that would appease most Trekkies. I enjoyed the late James Doohan’s narration, but there was a bit of bait and switch on the description saying that Leonard Nimoy narrates. I did listen to the sample, but hoped it wasn’t a direct sampling, but that was my fault so treat this as cautionary. Overall the abridged story was not as pleasing to me, and the music could have been more abridged. I don’t regret the experience, but it just wasn’t as good as I hoped.

Really a 30sec musical transition between everythg

The story was okay. It's a pretty rough start, by chapter 4 it was okay. If you have not been driven nuts by the 30 sec musical transitions between scenes. Have they never seen a movie with music in the background.

Kind of short and not the best ending.

A good star trek novel, well worth the listen. nice to hear the voices of the original cast.

It is amazing to hear their voices as they read this classic. These men are heroes to many of us.

Riveting and exciting a great story wish Mr Roddenberry had told such tales TOS might have made their five seasons

exciting book

this was an exciting retelling of the book by the same name. I really enjoyed listening to The Adventures of Spock McCoy and their friend.

well it's was a very nice story, only it's mostly naratted by Scotty not Spock.

Very well narrated and keeps you engaged. Story was just like listening to an episode of TOS through a radio drama…..helped pass the time while traveling on the road!
