great series!

the whole Amber series is great. Make sure to start with the house of Amber series first and then Merlin's series.

Masterful conclusion of brilliant series.

Merlin solves his riddles, faces his demons and prevails over the forces of order, chaos and his scheming family.

Amber has and always will be...

Amber has and always will be amongst my favorite series. Whether in written or spoken word.

The ends of the tangled threads

This book has always felt a little rushed to me, since there was a lot of work to do answering the questions and resolving the story lines. I suspect Zelazny had a lot more that he wanted to say but was constrained by the length of the books. There are four or five fragments, written for fanzines (back before the Internet, remember? Actual paper?) by Zelazny that add fascinating details to the story beyond what is resolved here. Whatever, it is Zelazny, and therefore it is masterfully done. Wheaton gives a performance to be proud of in a very busy and complicated narrative.

Cunningly Devised Fable

The whole series is a nice stroll down memory lane. They were eagerly anticipated as they were written. Sometimes a bit too descriptive, but they're cunningly devised fables. Lots of room for expansion. Who's going to write the back story of the origins of Unicorn and Logrus? Does Merlin's future son go back in time to battle forces of Chaos to repair the issues with Dworkin's confused mind.

Good book, Great Reader. Will captured Merlin's voice! It sounded like I expected Merlin to sound. I could hear Merlin speaking! WELL DONE!

I enjoy the whole amber series but the last book didn’t feel like a last book. Did the author die? So many loose ends….

A fitting end to the second series

Loved Wil’s performance. He did a great job with different character voices over his prior performances. I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook.

Amazing book.

Such imagination... definitely worth it. This book is so rich with personalities ideas and twists and turns of plot.
