Werewolves, vampires, witches, voodoo, Elvis - and weddings An "ordinary" wedding can get crazy enough, so can you imagine what happens when otherworldly creatures are involved?

Nine of the hottest authors of paranormal fiction answer that question in this delightful collection of supernatural wedding stories.

What's the seating plan when rival clans of werewolves and vampires meet under the same roof? How can a couple in the throes of love overcome traps set by feuding relatives - who are experts at voodoo? Will you have a good marriage if your high-seas wedding is held on a cursed ship? How do you deal with a wedding singer who's just a little too good at impersonating Elvis?

Since I know the most of the authors in this book, I was able to enjoy it. Not a great collection like the other anthology but still a fun listen. I have to say the Harry Dresden short story was the best but the others had its charms, too.

A story that brings together the elements of a good group of authors and a mutual plot ,a Weing and seeing what happens

7ish out of the 9 stories I really enjoyed.

Overall it was a good buy and a good listen. The narrators were well chosen.

A couple of the stories were harder for me to enjoy because I had a hard time 'getting aquinted' with the characters and place setting.
But that is completely my personal opinion and I believe that if you enjoy supernatural/paranormal type of stories, then you will not be dissapointed with this selection.

Enjoyed about 80%

Some of the stories are quite good, and others not at all.
For this, as with other anthologies, I wish Audible provided a table of contents: which chapter is which story and author. That way I could skip stories by authors I know I dislike or go straight to one I want to hear over again.

Most of these stories were fun. Most of the narrators were . . . okay; a couple of the narrators really interfered with my enjoyment of the story (when the inflection you chose for the beginning of the sentence doesn't work with the meaning when you get to the end of the sentence, you go back and re-record that sentence. Where were the producers and the QC folk?); a couple of the narrators were absolutely FANTASTIC.

The real problem is that nowhere can I find the details of what narrator belonged to what story. I would happily look up, purchase, and listen to more work by the first and penultimate narrators, but I have no idea who they were!

(as an aside, I do wish that when narrators are given a novella that is part of a larger series they were also given some notes as to what the fans know of the characters from other works. Bob should *not* have sounded like a redneck tough; that is all.)

Narrators can "make it or break it"

the stories were all good however some of the reading was a bit crating however in saying that it went with the story but too much i thought with the southern drwal, but all the stories were enjoyable none the less.

good for one of those days when you just want to listen to a book that you don't need to concentrate on,

my big fat reading fest

The Dresden Files have one main narrator. Sadly he does not do the short stories in this book that is connected to Dresden. It just doesn't sound the same.

it's not the normal guy

If you could sum up My Big Fat Supernatural Wedding in three words, what would they be?

Fun, Variety, Sexy

Who was your favorite character and why?

I like them all. Its a lot of fun to listen to these compilation books. You get little bits and pieces from your favorites all in one place. You can listen to one small story in one sitting without devoting time to a whole book.

Which character – as performed by the narrators – was your favorite?

I love how Elvis makes his appearance.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

No. Nothing too serious in this book in my opinion

Any additional comments?

No, this is just a fun one to listen to.

A Fun Compilation

as others have said. some stories are great, others passable, meaning, give them a pass. the second to last one is racist, misogynistic, and has not aged well since it was written. (please stop describing POC skin by describing it like the color of a food or beverage. also, they are not exotic.)

this heading is supposed to be optional. it is not
