Some laws you break. Some break you. And then there's Caine's Law.
From the moment Caine first appeared in the pages of Heroes Die, two things were clear. First, that Matthew Stover was one of the most gifted fantasy writers of his generation. And second, that Caine was a hero whose peers go by such names as Conan and Elric. Like them, Caine was something new: a civilized man who embraced savagery, an actor whose life was a lie, a force of destruction so potent that even gods thought twice about crossing him. Now Stover brings back his greatest creation for his most stunning performance yet.
Caine is washed up and hung out to dry, a crippled husk kept isolated and restrained by the studio that exploited him. Now they have dragged him back for one last deal. But Caine has other plans. Those plans take him back to Overworld, the alternate reality where gods are real and magic is the ultimate weapon. There, in a violent odyssey through time and space, Caine will face the demons of his past, find true love, and just possibly destroy the universe. Hey, it’s a crappy job, but somebody’s got to do it.

Would you consider the audio edition of Caine’s Law to be better than the print version?
Not really, but Rudniki does phenomenalWhat other book might you compare Caine’s Law to and why?
Caine's Law is so much unlike anything I've ever read, even Stover's other stuff.Have you listened to any of Stefan Rudnicki’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Yes. He delivers stellar voice acting consistentlyWas there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Oh yes. There wasn't many pages where I didn't go "HOLY COW!" but Caine's speech to the BOG is really good. Also, the Mockingbird question. The pinnacle of Caine

U have to have the stomach & ability to hear gratuitous bad language to the point where even I am scratching my head & asking whoa, what is the funniest yet most vulgar thing I've heard... yet in the next novel Stover will present Theology & philosophy that will make u think I just might use those words if I was trapped or forced into this situation... Now this is how the million $$ actors we pay should have to live... in fear of death to make that much money lol, if a football player can possibly get post-concussion syndrome from playing from the sheer brutality the take on actors in the future is so clever it leaves me wanting more, which supposedly there will be... if u read one of the books u need to read all of them, if u like one, than u will love all... if u hate the vulgarity & violence don't waste the credit... I personally love the beauty in classic books along with the beauty presented in these books, just served with a side order of disembowelment to go with it LOL
If u are reading this book without reading the past ones I'm not sure if that will work nor will it paint the picture of what Caine is & what he has gone thru... if ur interested, get the books, read them all & wait for the next installment like me because he's the most dedicated METHOD ACTOR I've ever heard of LMAO
I Don't Give 5 Stars Often, But WOW
