first audio book!

Really enjoyed this book. the storey in wonderful and enlightening. I hated the narration changes.

Great Story, Good Voice, Production Quality... Meh

Would you try another book from Hermann Hesse and/or Chris Hendrie?

Would I? I did many years ago. Hesse is a fabulous story teller. He, Conrad and Kerouac made my late teens, early twenties very interesting. Chris Hendrie does a fine narrative. I have no issues with his performance here.

Could you see Siddhartha being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Audio levels/production quality is variable. You'll have to adjust your volume level a couple times while listening to this book. As I listen to books the first time for the story and there after to fall asleep to, I give this one a passing grade for Awake listening (3.5/5 A's), and a needs improvement for sleep aid (2.25/5 Z's).

Very moving

This is one of the few books that deeply influence you. Truly deep,soulful and moving.

One of my favorites but poor recording quality

A classic and beautiful story which was well performed but often times the recording quality was so poor it was difficult to understand what was being said.

Bad recording

Great book, great reading, terrible recording. Cuts in and out; often barely audible. Skip this one.
