Don't Sweat. Don't Laugh. Don't draw attention to yourself. And most of all, whatever you do, do not fall in love with one of them.
Gene is different from everyone else around him. He can't run with lightning speed, sunlight doesn't hurt him and he doesn't have an unquenchable lust for blood. Gene is a human, and he knows the rules. Keep the truth a secret. It's the only way to stay alive in a world of night—a world where humans are considered a delicacy and hunted for their blood.
When he's chosen for a once in a lifetime opportunity to hunt the last remaining humans, Gene's carefully constructed life begins to crumble around him. He's thrust into the path of a girl who makes him feel things he never thought possible—and into a ruthless pack of hunters whose suspicions about his true nature are growing. Now that Gene has finally found something worth fighting for, his need to survive is stronger than ever—but is it worth the cost of his humanity?

Reseñas de la Crítica
“Runnette does an excellent job of slowly adding layers of emotion and confusion to the character, and his cool delivery of the narration adds to the suspense.” —AudioFile Magazine
“The scenario of Andrew Fukuda's ‘The Hunt' is so wildly fantastic (in a good way) that narrator Sean Runnette delivers just what this story needs: a clear, steady voice.” —The Los Angeles Times
Really enjoyed!!!!! I am hooked!!!!!

Would you try another book from Andrew Fukuda and/or Sean Runnette?
Sean, yes.Do you think The Hunt needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
Oh God no. All the while I am listening I am thinking "The Hunger Games...". The plot and characters are so much like Collins' that I want to scream. Her book didn't warrant sequels. A predictable novel derived from one equally predictable, even less so.Any additional comments?
Even after granting the premiss, a necessity when reading speculative fiction, I am severely distracted by the notion that there is no way it could work. The heapers keeping their identities secret over lifetimes, when a minor cut, five o'clock shadow, or stinky underarms could give them away? Please. That said, Fuduka's writerly skills are good enough that I haven't given up on it yet.Derivative, predictable and illogical.

Is there anything you would change about this book?
The violence was so unnecessary, however, it was an interesting take on vampires in reverse. If you’ve listened to books by Andrew Fukuda before, how does this one compare?
No, I have not listened to another of his books and I wonder if I will waste a credit on another of his books.Which scene was your favorite?
The last paragraph was intriguing, but not enough, I do not think I'll get book two to find out about the last paragraph. I do not give spoilers, sorry.Could you see The Hunt being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
No, there was not enough information in book 1, maybe if book 2 picks up.Any additional comments?
I felt there were loose ends, but book 2 may clear up the issues?C+/B- last paragraph of the book was a cliffhager
