After developing supporting characters and their powers, like Jane and her electricity, Connor and his ability to talk to ghosts, or Aidan the vampire, it was disappointing how little they came into play. This was yet another book where Jane’s main contribution was being in peril. And the motives for the villains failed to jibe with their actions. All of this could have been forgiven, however, if this wasn’t such a dead bore.
