As the trail winds through neighborhoods rich and poor, enmeshing the innocent and corrupt alike all the way down to the streets and casinos of Havana, an extraordinary story of revenge, honor, and greed emerges. For Charlie Wall had his secrets, and he guarded them well. And those secrets could destroy a criminal empire and ignite a revolution.

"White Shadow is classic Florida noir, a great crime novel set in the fabulously crime-ridden 50s." (Carl Hiaasen)
"Diana from Portland,Or"
Great book- The true old gangster theme. The settings and characters are so vividly described. I feel as if I were right there in Florida and Havana.
"Love the Details"
Being a resident of the Tampa Bay area for over 30 years, I love the rich details about the area and the fascinating look at this big event in our area's history. This was not my favorite mystery but was still quite an enjoyable diversion. Several of my co-workers, who stil read the old-fashioned way, are planning to buy the book.
"Boring and annoying"
Hopefully astute Audible members will not waste their money on this awful novel. Full of dreary details and nondescript dialogue, it reads at a snail's pace and the narrator's personification of the characters is abysmally amateurish. Don't waste your time on this low-price download when there are plenty of good murder mysteries to enjoy.
