Stuck in the wilderness with a bunch of other juvenile delinquents on an "Inward Trek", it doesn’t seem that things could get worse for 17-year-old Nick "Nero" Sole.
But they do. Overnight, Nero’s counselors turn into flesh-eating maniacs and start chowing down on his fellow miscreants - like a monster movie come to life. As in any classic monster flick worth its salted popcorn, colossal carnage sends survivors rabbiting into the woods while the mindless horde of "infects" shambles, moans, and drools behind. These kids have seen the movies; they know the rules.
Unfortunately, knowing the rules isn’t going to be enough. The Infects is a genre buster; yes, it’s a fast-paced gore fest, but it’s also an incisive commentary on the evil that lurks within each of us.

What disappointed you about The Infects?
Note: I only got through half the book!I cannot even begin to describe this utter cr**! Perhaps it was written for 17 year olds. The nicest thing I can say is the book is boring. With this said, the book follows a group of juvenile teens who seem to discover the zombie invasion while being escorted to a detention center (I think). They have to survive and a long the way they team up with several girls (I think). The book reminds me of a teen trying to make a movie. Shooting the film while the camera shakes and the audio is missing. This is how confusing and pitiful this book was.
