Nine Princes in Amber is the first of the 10 books that are The Chronicles of Amber; an epic fantasy series written by six-time Hugo Award winning and three-time Nebula Award winning author, Roger Zelazny.

Great book, lame deal!

Gave this series a try and was very surprised at the excellent narration and story line. I like the mix of the modern age with the Avalon mythology. For a book that was written in the 70's the story still seems current and not antiquated. I would like to finish the whole series but do not like that these short 5 hour books are sold separately instead of being grouped together. It will definitely be expensive to get to the end and I'm sure Audible is counting on that. Great book, lame deal!

Wishing For Series Compilation

Enjoyed the book. Award winning author and talented narrator.

Similar to Amazon, wish Audible would consolidate the series into one or two audio books. Since each book is roughly 5 hours long, a compilation would increase my interest in purchasing the series.

Random, he sounds like a crazy, easy going guy.

I still can't bring myself to agree with the theme of the book, I can't help but see Earth as real and Amber the shadow.

Fantastic series from the 70s with great narrator.

I have already recommended this series to friends. From the beginning it pulls you in. It's not just a Sci-Fi, it's political intrigue and mystery. I started this series on a bike ride in to work and arrived at work TOO FAST....because I wanted to hear more of the book. Could not wait to get back on the bike for the ride home. Download the first of the series and hop on for the ride....it's bumpy and twisted.

really jumps right into the whole thing

I looked the story and where it's going, but if you blink it jumps between people and places so fast you'll miss it.

entertaining and imaginative<br />

Rich fantasy story with vivid images and characters. Action filled and fully realized if a bit sexist in the way a 60's James Bond movie seems today. Good narration if not great.

A Classic

Childhood favorite brought to life with excellent voice work. I cant wait to listen the remaining books in the series.
