Publisher's summary

It should have been the perfect vacation. A beautiful island without a soul in sight. Blue sea so clear I can see the reef. Palm trees swaying in the wind, and a girl with barely a scrap of clothing on.

There is only one problem. She is a zombie and she wants to eat me. That's right. My only companion is a creature with a hunger for human flesh. I should bash in her brains and toss her in the ocean, but I don't have a volleyball to talk to.

All I have is this diary and my own Zombie-Wilson.

Witty, funny, creepy, a little deranged...

Any additional comments?

I like the book. Its like a car wreck, you just can't look away and you just keep reading on. The author does draw comparison to Tom Hanks Castaway with several references in the book but instead of a stupid volleyball the main character has a "hot" Zombie girl to talk at. Well she starts off hot and then things go down hill from there. This is not a scary typical zombie book. Sure the zombie wants to eat human flesh, but the marooned castaway easily conteds with that. Actually this book was more fun and more intriguing than the Tom Hanks Movie.

What would Tom Hanks say.

Where does The Zombie Wilson Diaries rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I would say around the middle. I chose this just to hear something different, something a little strange and something fun. Timothy Long did not fail me.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Zombie Wilson Diaries?

Trying to clean his Zombie Babe

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Sun, Sea, Palm trees, Sunny beaches and a Zombie Babe what man could ask for more

Any additional comments?

I sat here thinking what to put for additional comments and just say, if you have listened to Dead Drunk then this can be compared. I seriously - and will admit it - wondered if Tom Hanks would have been any different? Enjoy - I hope. Be horrified - I am sure

I can see the semblance to the movie Castaway but then that gives this story an edge. Just how would we act in the same situation? Have fun of course

Truly a HILARIOUS fun ride!

Would you consider the audio edition of The Zombie Wilson Diaries to be better than the print version?

Yes, most certainly better. Guy Williams does a phenominal job of personifying the main character in this book.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Zombie Wilson Diaries?

When the idiot protagonist decided to leave the island and took the bloody zombie with him! How dumb can you be?? Love it.

What does Guy Williams bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Brings the character to real life and really helps you see into his extreme stupidity!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, but i was unable to do it all at once.

Any additional comments?

This book by Timothy W. Long is a laugh a minute, itll keep you guessing as to what form of brain damage the protagonist has. Lots of hilarious content and it just leaves you shaking your head in disbelief when you read some of the things that happen on this island. LOL, great book Mr. Long.

Interesting approach to zombies

This book is a lighter zombie story. It mimics the movie Castaway loosely, but adds in zombies. I found it well written and narrated nicely. The story is comical and a good listen I found well worth the credit.

It broke my heart one step at a time

Would you listen to The Zombie Wilson Diaries again? Why?

Yes, it is compelling and heart breaking.

Who was your favorite character and why?

The Zombie Girl, even though she says nothing you get a feeling that her real mind is still trapped inside.

What does Guy Williams bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Depth of character.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When he saved her from the shark.

Any additional comments?

This book is a serious mash-up of the movie Castaway and a Zombie book. It makes no bones about and actually owns the reality and plays into it brilliantly.

I loved this book.

The narrators descent into madness as he forms a deep emotional bond with his zombie companion is compelling and heartbreaking. I found myself hoping and praying that they would not be sundered from one another like Tom Hanks's character and "Wilson" were in Castaway.

Yes she is dead, yes she eats flesh, yes she has an "odor", and yes all manner of creature takes up residence on her as the weeks roll by. Their relationship is wrong. And he has to fight off other suitors and people that just do not understand.

But it's still a better love story than Twilight.

It is an excellent novel.

Really fun read

A cool story about zombies without everyone running for their lives. To be fair, I never thought about what having a zombie girlfriend would be like... now I know lol. Thanks for a very original zombie novel.
