Can't wait until the final part
This was a far more engaging book than the prior one. There were some jokes which dragged out a bit but over all this is another solid entry to this series. I'm more than a little curious to experience the conclusion!

Epic & Gets to the Heart of the Main Storyline
This time we're really going into the center of the action and the fight between the two sides. This time it seemed central to the main storyline & feels epic. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Narration was excellent as usual. I didn't want the book to end.

Great for Kids
The kids liked this book and are really getting into the story. Pretty painless for the adults. A little quirky. It's definitely a different style for Brandon Sanderson. I still think the side commentary is weird, but the kids don't. On to book 3.

Now that I understand more of how the books are going I enjoyed this more, plus my grandkids and I had a lot of fun conversations about it, which made it so much fun. It moved along well, kept me interested, humor was fun and creative, lots of teasers about what is coming, good fun listen

I bought the book for my son, but I got sucked in
Alcatraz tells us he is going to lie and then I believe what he says anyways. He tries to convince me how terrible he truly is, but I still cheer him on. His relatives are wonderfully zany. I love all the asides and odd chapters the author throws in and the ending pages. Sanderson knows his audience. I read his Mistborn books first and knew my son would enjoy listening to these books. I am chuckling right along with him.
I'm off to buy the next book in this "trilogy" that is going on five books now, not that I am complaining. I will happily buy as many Alcatraz books as Sanderson is willing to write. They are that enjoyable.

remember guys stop reading after this book
this was the last good book of the series. and I wouldn't push myself into the fifth. I wish I hadn't listened to the dark talent!
these books have generally been light-hearted and filled with random laughs, I enjoyed these books for that reason, which is why the fifth should be condemned.

Awesome
Sanderson is excellent as always. De Ocampo is awesome. Hard to not be invested in the rich characters of this story over the course of the series...that we're DEFINITELY only listening to because our KIDS are enjoying it in the car 😂
