Quirks of timing feature in this romantic novel about family connections, second chances, and first loves. Set over a twenty-four-hour-period, Hadley and Oliver find that true love can be unexpected.

Today should be one of the worst days of seventeen-year-old Hadley Sullivan's life. Having just missed her flight, she's stuck at JFK airport and late to her father's second wedding, which is taking place in London and involves a soon-to-be stepmother Hadley's never even met. Then she meets the perfect boy in the airport's cramped waiting area. His name is Oliver, he's British, and he's sitting in her row.

A long night on the plane passes in the blink of an eye, and Hadley and Oliver lose track of each other in the airport chaos upon arrival. Can fate intervene to bring them together once more?

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Unfortunately, this wasn't quite what I wanted. Smith writes characters that moan and whine in the grand tradition of YA fiction, but rarely develop more than the story asks for. And when that story is "girl goes to London and falls in love with boy on the way-- also, they both have daddy issues"-- well.

Would you recommend The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight to your friends? Why or why not?

I'd recommend other young adult fiction novels to my friends. This one had a lovely name, but relied too much on tired tropes and brick jokes.

Would you be willing to try another one of Casey Holloway’s performances?

I'm sure Holloway is a fine actress, but this text did her no justice. Although her British accent could use some work.

Could you see The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Please no.

Rather mediocre

This is your typical romance novel. It is cute and a easy listen. The reader wasn't my favorite, but overall iot's worth a listen.

I loved this book for the simple quick story. It was easy to get into and flowed nicely. The performance was great.

What I loved- the seamless transitions, the small details, the world building.
What I disliked- the dad, the Mary-Sue bride to be, the need to pretend that Hadley needed a pen and paper to get Oliver’s number and apparently just forgot she could have him put it in her phone.
What was average- the plot, the main characters, the dialogue, the narration.
There is nothing really wrong with this story- but it is a bit forgettable. It was a pleasant read- clean, sweet, a tiny bit angsty, but not one that I will listen to again.

Completely average
