Well edited with lots of great dialogue between all the characters! Author tells a good story in a fantasy format

This story used Ms Zackman's voice gifts so very well.

Worth the read

While I liked Maria V. Snyder's Study and Glass series more, I still would read this one again. The characters are just as well written and the story line follows a similar pattern but is different enough to be its own. I was thinking this was a follow-up of the Study and Glass series, but there is not any crossover of characters which was my only disappointment. Plus this book has the same great narrator Gabra Zackman as the first Study series. She really does a good job. Can’t wait for the next book!

Great Read

I loved the world that was created with this book. Good sexual tension but not much sex. Kind of nice to have a slow build in the book. Overall good book.

I love this new ,to me, series.. Another strong woman telling herstory.! Great characters and Gabra Zackman's reading made this a new favorite for me. Nature is dual / duel.

What other book might you compare Touch of Power to and why?

Poisen Study also by Maria V. Snyder. There are many similarities and differences. It's been a while since I read PS though and this book reminded me why I loved it. The powerful female heros, the love interests that sneak up behind me, and force me to love them, the loyal friends, it's a combination made of gold. But this brand new world of healers has so many surprises. Since I first began reading I've not been able the shut up about it to all my friends.

Fantastic Audiobook & Great Story!

"Touch of Power" is a wildly Enthralling Fantasy with a wickedly dark sense of humor & heart stoppingly suspenseful plot twists! B-)

Touch of Power is similar to Maria's other books.

I find them entertaining, but the "heroine"s are a little too insecure and one dimensional in my opinion. I keep reading her books though because I love Maria's take on magic and the world's she creates.

I think she should just spend a little more time developing her characters a little more and make them less predictable, otherwise I feel like I'm reading a teen novel.

Not a Romance book

I got this during a bogo romance special it was under supernatural romance. it started out good and I enjoyed the fantasy post apocalyptic story line but its not a romance. there's a little romantic tension throughout the book and a few kiss and romance in the last 16 minutes but other then that this was more a fantasy novel. the reader was a little monotone but I could be me (I don't like female readers) . the story could use a second book (lot of loose ends) but I did like the book overall.

so if you want to read a fun fantasy book I suggest it if you won't a romance book look else where.
