Would you consider the audio edition of The Scorpio Races to be better than the print version?

I have not read the print version. The audio edition was outstanding due to the amazing voice work of the narrators.

What did you like best about this story?

Everything. Exceptionally well-written. The prose was almost lyrical at times in its use of language. Exceptionally good development of Puck, Sean, Corr, Dove and the island of Thisby. I felt like I was there living the story.

What about Steve West and Fiona Hardingham ’s performance did you like?

It was perfect for the characters and drew me in completely.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Too many to note, although the ending was exceptionally moving with Sean and Corr.

Any additional comments?

Can not recommend this highly enough to anyone who loves a good, well-written story--especially one involving horses. Somewhat took me back to my childhood of getting lost in the Black Stallion series.

Loved it! The audio book goes between 2 main characters Sean and Puck. The narration sucks you in and paints vivid pictures of the where's, why's, and when's of the story. Loved the voices in the narration as well. Very well written story. It's a keeper to read again.

They helped bring this story to life so much more than when I read the story myself. While reading the story it took much longer for me to get into it, but these narrators are incredible! I really enjoyed listening and picked up on quite a few things I missed while reading it the first time.

I want more from these narrators!

I loved this audible book. I found the story mesmerizing, found myself driving several miles further than needed in order to reach a suitable stopping point within the story and longing for the work day to end in order to pick up where I had left off. I could smell and feel the brine of the ocean and the bitter grip of the wind. Thank you for the beautiful narration that fit the characters of Puck and Sean so well. One of the best stories I have had the discovery of finding in a very long time and one I will return to, time and again.

Loved it - the backdrop of the island and all its people is painted vividly for the reader. The myth of the waterhorses retold in a way with more authenticity. Beautiful story...
