A heartwarming novel from Glenn Beck, the #1 New York Times best-selling author of The Christmas Sweater and phenomenally popular radio and television host.
Rachel Price’s one happy memory from her childhood is of playing outside with her father, Mitch, on a cold and snowy day. In that moment he took her hands in his and called her his angel. She felt safe, loved, and protected. Rachel’s mother dies in a car crash a few years later - a sudden and unresolved ending to a complicated relationship. Mitch’s reaction to certain realities surrounding the death pushes Rachel away and confirms her fear that Mitch never truly loved her at all.
Years later, Rachel’s daughter, Lily, is the only light in her dark life. Rachel is consumed by an abusive marriage but too afraid to escape. On Christmas Eve, Rachel’s husband raises a hand to Lily in a moment of aggression that finally snaps Rachel out of her docile state. She realizes immediately that she must protect her daughter in ways her own parents didn’t protect her and remove Lily from the situation. Through the help of an old and dear friend, Rachel has a safe place to go, but first, she must say goodbye to her father.
As the snow falls on this Christmas Eve, Rachel learns that it’s never too late to start over. The Snow Angel is a tale about family, forgiveness, and learning to treasure our memories while allowing ourselves sto move forward.

"Story of a life of abuse."
It was great!
When Rachel finally woke up to the fact that she & her daughter needed to get out the life they were in.
No.
Yes.
I would like to say that it held my interest which helps make the book. It is very good.
"Engrossing from beginning to end."
I'm new to audio books. The Snow Angel was great because I feel the narration added so much to a well-written story.
I will look for more of Glenn Beck's books.
"I enjoyed this book the story and the reading"

I loved when the husband and wife got back together and the whole family were happy again
yes the readings by both were very good
i think it would be the workmate that pretended to be the new girlfriend ,she was wonderful and there should be more people like her ,
real easy read and enjoyed the whole story and it's twists and tuerns,
"Worth it!"
Very vivid details in the story that make you 'feel' what the characters are feeling.
Max, because he has deep love for his wife, a great work ethic, and tremendous patience.
Making the snow angels.......
Max, because I would love to hear his life story.
Only dissappointment was the ending, it seemed to drop off so suddenly. Maybe I just wanted to know more about what followed for the main characters?
I've just gotten hooked on audio book this last year & I love them. Now I can "read" a book & do other things like walk or hobbies.
"Good story and well written"
I liked this book.
I felt that it was very true to how women repeat abuse in their life, stay in denial and don't see how things really are. I also loved the way people rallied to help her out of it and help her to "see".
The only thing about this book that I didn't like was the ending, I felt he could have given the reader a little more satisfaction from the father's perspective--some more lucid moments--but I guess he was trying to show how things are in the real world!
"Emotionally Charged!"
This book was riveting!! As I listened to the story unfold, many times I felt myself pleading with Rachel to just run away...to help Mitch remember his little girl...and to give Cyrus a piece of his own medicine. This is a well written story of how abuse can progress from generation to generation until someone says "I'm done!". A great story, I wish hadn't ended. Well done, Glenn Beck, well done!
"great unexpected read"

Rachel...she is me

"Heartwarming and inspiring"
This is one of the best audiobooks I've listened to.
The characters were believable and the storyline was compelling.
I loved the way the two voices contrasted each other.
The Cost of Freedom
I'd love to read or listen to more books by this author.
"A Good Listen"
I enjoy audio books and this was a good one.
The characters were believeable and the story line is one that everyone should have knowledge of. Both for themselves and to help and understand others.
I laughed and cried.
"wonderful story, excellent narration"
For me I like to listen, as I am not a good reader. I did read Blen Becks the Christmas Sweater last year, very good book too!
I always wanted to read more... hear more. It is real life with real people and feelings.
No, This was my first time. This is only my second audio book

I will read more Glen Beck stories and I would love to listen to January Lavoy and Ron McLarty again.
