Dedicating the book "to my good friend & comrade, My Wife," L. Frank Baum published The Wonderful Wizard of Oz in 1900, and it went on to become perhaps one of the most successful tales in the history of American children’s literature. Listeners new to the story and longtime fans alike will delight to join Dorothy and her friends in this timeless tale of the quest for courage, love, and a longing for Home.

It was a very funny, whimsical, and sometimes horrifying story. Nothing like the movie but I would say it's better in a lot of ways.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I have watched the Wizard of Oz on tv every year for many many years and had never read the book, so I was so suprised to find the movie is very different from the book. I would recommend it to any one who is a fan of the Wizard of Oz or the Wicked series. The reading was done very well and easy to listen to.

very good for oz fans
