Forced to his knees in agony whenever he speaks the truth, Gideon can recognize any lie--until he captures Scarlet, a demon-possessed immortal who claims to be his long-lost wife. He doesn't remember the beautiful female, much less wedding - or bedding - her. But he wants to...almost as much as he wants her.
But Scarlet is a keeper of nightmares too dangerous to roam free. A future with her might mean ultimate ruin, especially as Gideon's enemies draw closer - and the truth threatens to destroy all he's come to love.

What did you love best about The Darkest Lie?
I love that Gideon and Scarlett figure out their relationship. I also like seeing the depth of feelings Gideon has for Scarlett and tries everything he can to help her.Who was your favorite character and why?
Gideon is one of my favorites. I find the character very touching and he get so upset that he can't tell others how he really feels about them without pain. He is one of the Lords that will give his life for another. What does Max Bellmore bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Max Bellmore makes the story better than in book form. There are only 2 other series that I just have the audiobooks because the narrator make the story wonderful to listen to. The other two are Jeannie Frost, Cat and Bones, and Charlaine Harris, Sookie Stackhouse. Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The most moving moment is when Gideon was told that he had a son and that he died at the hand of Zeus. He was in such sorrow, not only because he couldn't remember him, but that the God that he admired killed his son. Even after he found out it wasn't true, he still felt sorrow that he didn't have a son after all.Gideon is such a sweetie
