Bandit, murderer, known to all, seen by none...has he killed a thousand men? Has he saved a dozen worlds? His legend is as large as the Rim itself, his trail as elusive as a wisp of starlight in the empty realms of space. The reward for him is the largest in history.©1992 Mike Resnick (P)2010 Audible, Inc. Science Fiction Fiction Mythology

The characters had no depth. The most interesting is not even in the the story.

Very boring

Not riveting but entertaining. The author kept my interest with his real to life characters coming and going consistently throughout the story. Swashbuckling and alluring fortune hunters with each ones moral values blending into one genre. Good job Mr. Resnick. I needed a break from Tom Holland’s translation of Herodotus!

Earl Stanley garner version of a space cowboy venture with a “Princess Bride” twist.

I saw some reviews that critiqued the narration, but I disagree with them. The narrator was great, the voices were distinct.

The story was long, and in the middle there it got to be a bit cumbersome trying to figure out how it connected or care about all these different characters, but it all ties together well at the end.

Loved It

Mike Resnick does a great job captivating readers as always with his wit and attention to detail. Santiago and Ivory are my two favorites from Resnick and would recommend them to any sci-fi thriller seeker.
