Dragons of the Dwarven Depths: The Lost Chronicles, Volume 1

So great to be able to enjoy the lives of Tanis & co. again. So great a modern fantasy book with some strong female characters, all the characters with depth. Narrator did a good job--it took a bit to get used to Tas' voice, but after a while, I felt the narrator's interpretation really was on mark. She did a good job making the characters' voices sound different, the voices matched the personalities of the characters well and I could tell who was talking just by voice along. I wish they would put the DragonLance Chronicles into Audiobook form, maybe someday...

I loved these books in high school, some 25 years ago. Catching up with Tass and Tanis and the gang again was like a homecoming for me. So maybe my love of this book is colored by nostalgia. Still, it was the great adventure romp now that it was then. Sure, it's light reading that just makes you smile. But that's what I want from AD&D books. Tass' voice took some getting used to, but that could just be because it didn't match the one in my head when I first met him a quarter a century ago.

This is a GREAT BOOK. Weis and Hickman have done it again. I didn't want to stop listening. I just have one Question, Why hasn't Hollywood Picked up the Companions. I've read all of the Compainons books from the Meeting to The Drangon Lance Wars. They just keep getting better!!!!!!!!!

I was delighted to return to this world and find these heroes from my younger youth back in a wonderful adventure. Now this time with voices!!! Excellent narrative!! Super FUN!!! Sandra: Keep up the excellent work. Please provide all Dragonlance Novels in Audible format!!!!

I really loved this book...being an all time fan of the authors. Only thing I would change would be Tas' voice =)

All three of these books are great for fans of the Dragonlance Series, but the narration is horrible. I won't buy another book read by Sandra Burr.

I started reading the dragonlance series when I was in high school and I have really enjoyed all of the books. I have read this book before I was looking forward to listening to the audio version; however, the narration was horrible. At times I felt like I was listening to my daughters preschool teacher try to read the book with different voices. I have never stopped listening to a book simply because of the narrator, but this was the first. The voices were horrible and very annoying. I will not listen to anything with this narrator again.

I think the story is good, but the reading, especially Tasslehoff's voice is very strange. His voice is supposed to be high, and quick, the reader makes him sound like a sick frog.

Very strong. Not the best voice actor I've heard but close to the top.

Book had a lot of ups and downs as far as my interest went. Some times it was a choir to pay attention other it had my fully.

I haven't read any other books by Weis & Hickman, but I have read books by them individually. Overall, this was a great story that suffered at times from a little ADD. Also, the attempt as 3rd person omniscient was a failure - which is what I blame for more of the slow spots.

Maybe sometime in the far future. Don't really need to hear it again. Story still fresh in mind.

I think it comapres well to the original Dragonlance trilogy althought it does seem to be a caricature of that saga and revists well fleshed out characters with no surprises.

The scenes with Flint in the tomb looking for the Hammer.

Nothing in this book was particularly moving. It just filled in some gaps from the Dragonlance saga. Can't have any real moving moments when you know where things are going.
