Savage, a former Navy SEAL and American state-of-the-art security specialist. Akira, Japan's most brilliant executive protector and a master of the samurai arts. Their mission: the retrieval of Rachel Stone, a beautiful American woman whose ruthless billionaire husband is out to destroy her.

But quickly Savage and Akira realize they are trapped in a mission more far-reaching than the protection of one person. For they are bound together in a common nightmare, a set of horrifying memories, a terrifying past that never happened, but is somehow inexplicably real. Only together can they confront the mystery. Yet when they do, an even more chilling scenario awaits them - one with the power to shatter not only their world but ours as well.

Critic reviews

"The plot - if far-fetched - is strong, and the characters are wonderfully drawn." ( School Library Journal)

Definitely has a dated storyline and super dated language, but still an enjoyable listen. Not a fan of the narrators, but it wasn't bad.

Dated

The author has a good concept... the main character over thinks himself and the heroine's thoughts make you chuckle. Not bad...

Nice light read...kind of sappy

Love the author. Narrators voicing the characters’ dialogue ruined the experience. I am so disappointed.

Awful narration

First... the voices are all computery and choppy. don't understand why... the story... v honestly what damn story? there's no point to the book at all. Unless I guess you come worship for Japan and it's culture. then maybe you should get a book directly about the culture instead of an awful story who's while purpose seems to be to tell everyone how AWFUL america is and how great Japan is. the fact there was Japanese culture references was why I got it to begin with I do enjoy the culture and learning about it and thought a fictional book with references would be great. I could not have been more wrong. I don't recommend wasting your credit. I'll be returning the book for a credit myself

So much disappointment
