Would you listen to The Invaders Plan again? Why?

Yes, of course. I've read the book a number of times over the years and now listening to it has made it even more addictive.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Heller is my favorite character. Nothing can shake him and despite an environment filled with sharks and crocodiles he walks safe, because his purpose is good.

Which scene was your favorite?

Hard to pick one. The whole book is one favorite scene after another.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It intrigued and enthralled me, paralleling this society it's fascinating.

Any additional comments?

Can't wait to listen to the rest of the series.

10 book series

great book, leaves you wanting more. My only wish is if it and the rest of the series was unabridged.

Great story, wonderfully acted and brilliant music in background sounds to bring the whole story together. Can't wait to read the next one.

funny over the top performance lots of sounds a d music very cheesy and over acted but dine in a way it made me smile and kept listening

An Amazing Suck You In Book To This Series

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I recommend this to people that love Science Fiction and for those that have not tried Science Fiction.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Some parts were very funny and the narrators did well.

Good book but it was not all there

I chose these ratings due to the whole book was not present. As I listened to the audio I realized that there were parts missing.

It's not bad, it just isn't great

The music needs updating - it's an old synthesizer and some of the character voices aren't great. Countess Krak sounds like a villain. Babe Corleone is not a good New Jersey accent (that's in the next book). In fact none of the women are very good and most of the guys are just okay at best.

I wanted to be blown away and this doesn't do that. It's not bad, it just isn't great like I hoped it would be.

Really good story! Makes you think. Good satire on International governments. Perfect short story that you can finish in an afternoon. Great for road trips!!

Entertaining

Would you listen to The Invaders Plan again? Why?

This is volume 1 of a 10 volume set (the word 'decology' was coined for this set). I have been trying to read it for years, but for one reason or another only got through volume 3 before something came up. Now that Alexa can read me to sleep, I believe I will make it this time!

Which character – as performed by uncredited – was your favorite?

Soltan Gris, obviously.

The series is fantasy, pure and simple. It is not in the class of '2001: A Space Odyssey'; nor is it meant to be. It is simple entertainment.
