Ray Bradbury
Featuring the evocative prose and imagery of Ray Bradbury, the fine acting of the Colonial Radio Theater players, and atmospheric music and sound effects, this story will send shivers of delight (and spine-chilling terror) through listeners young and old, long after the last candle has died in your jack-o'-lantern.

What made the experience of listening to The Halloween Tree (Dramatized) the most enjoyable?
As I listened to the story being told I could picture it in my mind. I read a review in which they stated this should have been a cartoon movie. As I listened I had to agree. Then as I listened more and the images the story brought to mind became more and more vivid, I realize it had! Cartoon Network made a movie out of it with Leonard Nemoy as Moundshroud and Ray Bradbury himself doing the narration. While this dramatization was not from that cartoon, it could easily have fit in with it.This was reminiscent of early 1900's where families would sit around the radio to listen to the stories being told. Sound effects, music, song. all in all a GREAT production.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Halloween Tree (Dramatized)?
It is hard to pick a favorite moment. Each jump through time brought on an exciting moment as you hang on every word to find out where they were now and what the situations was going to be.Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Twenty minutes into the story I had to stop it and gather my kids with me in the den and then I started it again. We all enjoyed it together as a family.A well told story of frightful adventure.
