Francine Rivers
Francine Rivers, a winner of the ECPA Gold Medallion, is a best-selling author of Christian fiction. A Voice in the Wind takes listeners into a richly imagined ancient Rome in the midst of its great decline. This heart-stirring tale of a young slave girl, torn between her love for a handsome aristocrat and her faith in God, transcends genres with its awe-inspiring power and emotional intensity.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Absolutely! This book depicts the decadence of Rome and Ephesus in all its carnal glory, but there are glimmers of hopeWhat was one of the most memorable moments of A Voice in the Wind?
The kindness of Marcus to Hodassa in the face of Julia's crueltyDid you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
There were many passages that floored me. The idea of honor in a society where honor does not reign... the idea of blood lust, perversion, and yet wanting to live a life pleasing to God... it is not too far a stretch to see the society that we live in today becoming similar to that of Rome 2000 years agoAny additional comments?
I agree with some of the other reviewers who stated that Richer Ferone's narration was not quite the best fit for this book particularly with his slight whine in the voices of female characters. However, his narration itself, and the story on its own, carry this book. It is a worthwhile read.Decadent, powerful, moving
