Leary and Mundy must face riot-torn streets, spies in an outlying base, and an anarchic planet where violence is the only law. Only if they succeed at every stage will they reach the final test: a space battle against an overwhelming Alliance force. Even for Daniel Leary it will be a difficult fight to win, and almost impossible to survive.

One of the best in an outstanding SF series

Bristling with outstanding battle scenes and peopled with characters you can really care about, this addition to the series makes for a great read.

another great leary story

I love the narration. I really love the story. up cinnabar. leary and adele get the job done even though captains and admirals on their side go against them.

Another rousing of the RCN

Fun, engaging and exciting. As a former Sailor I can easily say that Daniel Leary is the kind of officer that you would want to follow into harms way.
As a science fiction fan I'll say this, for my money it's always been Jim Kirk and the commanders Adama whom I'd always idolized now in that same breath add Daniel Leary.

RCN forever

Can't say I liked it as much as book 2, but held my attention. good read.

Very much enjoying the series

I am enjoying the RCN series and the development of Daniel and Adele so far. The narration is the only lackluster aspect of the series so far.

A well crafted story compellingly performed.

I find Drake's ability to weave a story with several compelling plot lines and unexpected outcomes. amazing, and addictive. Well worth listening to.

Another Excellent RCN Installment

I'm not sure I have much to say, except I still thoroughly enjoy this series. I love the optimism and hope the plot has. And I love the enthusiasm the characters have for fulfilling their roles in life.
