Nobody's Baby But Mine

Light, fun, a good "beach book" but with an intriguing story line and great characters. A feel good light read that had me laughing out loud. A story about a nerdy female professor looking for a dumb man to father her baby so he/she won't grow up to be nerdy like she was. A balancing of the genes so to speak. The main characters Jane (the professor) and Cal (the football jock) have a wild ride from start to finish. Totally enjoyable and well read. A good break from some of the heavier books.

This was a fun book, read by a great narrator. In the beginning when I first heard her do Cal's voice, I thought I couldn't listen to that for the entire book, but it grew on me and after awhile he was "Cal". Anna Fields knows when to pause and how and when to apply the right amount of emphasis and emotion. As for the author, I hope SEP enjoys writing them as much as her readers enjoy reading/listening. I also hear she blends her books by taking a side character and making them the focus of another book and then taking a side character in that book etc. I'm hoping to see how old lovers are doing.

Wonderfully refreshing /Anna Fields is the only one who could have narrated this book.The professor and the dumb jock are too funny , I could not do any thing but laugh out loud.This book is so enjoyable and surprises in every chapter.I will purchase more from the author and narrator. Cant help but listen again and recommend to all.

This was my first book for SEP. I LOVED IT ! A lovely mix of good story, funny dialogue , and exciting romance ! The narrator did a good job as well. I'm adding SEP to my list of favorite authors! I bought extra couple of audios to enjoy :)

This is probably my favorite SEP book so far. I love the characters. The way they meet, the circumstances, the story and a scene on the stairs that still makes me crack up!This - like all of her books I've read so far have some really great SPICE, but not too much - just enough. You will meet these characters again later in another book and if like me a couple of the scenes come back with a smile when certain locales are revisited.

This was the first Susan Elizabeth Phillips (SEP) book I ever read and it got me hooked. This book is part of a series and it can stand alone; however, I think it would be fun to start with the first in the series (It Had to Be You) and then read them in order from there. SEP has a great sense of humor and her characters are likable, some even loveable. Anna Fields is a good narrator. She has a husky voice so is able to do the male voice quite well, but her famale voices are better.

this book was great. I drive a minimum of 12 hours a week in 3 hour stretches and this has to be one of my favorites. I loved the characters, the narration. There were so many times laughter spilled out of me....I was dissappointed to have the book end b/c I enjoyed it so much. So far this author has been great to listen to.

I like Susan Elizabeth Phillips writing. It's pure escapism, I guess that is where I go when I listen to her books. They are worth the credit, and add to that, Anna Fields narration, it's a five star recording. The dialog is crack up fun!

Susan Elizabeth Phillips has a gift for spinning interesting characters, and Nobody's Baby But Mine is full of them. The book is predictable, but worth the read, to the point where you don’t want to hear last chapter. The original release date of 1997 does not date the novel, set in the present. Anna Fields does a believable job of narration, her voices set the characters apart.
